Marcel and Maricel

The twins had stirred from their midday slumber and were carried down from their beds to wipe their faces off their sleepiness by the helpers. Really, without these helpers around I think I would not be able to juggle housework and the new tsks that Audemars had delegated to me. It seemed that he had a better understanding of what a woman could do, and not just to serve him 'here and there'. You get what I mean. Hahaha. Besides, it's as if I am a driving force for Audemars to advance to where he wanted to be while I push him along from behind. Yeah... That's what a supporting role of a wife and woman should be. Talking about supporting wife and woman, Marcel had arrived back in a carriage with a lady by his sides. Is that lady his acquaintance? From the looks of it, it seemed that he had some kind of close relationship with the lady and was seen as hooking their arms together as they walk. They can't be losing each other in the spacious town square, can they? Audemars seldom does it with me, maybe he isn't the kind of romantic kind and does not exhibit his 'personal show of affection' in public. However, he could be like a wild beast in bed sometimes, especially when he sleeps and dreams about across the sheets. Hahaha. I saw the running back of Audemars as he dashed across the town square gingerly and one look, he seemed to be like an unarmed soldier but only from the direction of where he had run from, would the community knew it was His Majesty that had made his way across. With his gugel over his head, there was no sign of his ash grey hair sticking out messily from it as he made his way to the Macleod Coliseum. Marcel and his partner who was dining and enjoying every single piece of delicacies that Greasy Spoon could offer failed to notice Audemars as the latter also didn't realise that Marcel had already arrived back on town. "Darlings, since you both had woken up after your nap, do you want to scoot around in your trikes and meet daddy over at the Coliseum? We could meet uncle Marcel and his partner there too." I suggested to the twins as they were delighted to hear that they would be tricking their way in the town square. They pitter-patter around the house looking for their shoes and with a little help to determine the right sides to put on, the twins managed to wear their own shoes. In fact, the twins were already able to dress by themselves and had been toilet trained by the domain helpers to go to the commode every other hour to ease the urgency. The twins would say wee-wee and poo-poo to indicate what kind of transaction they would deal on the commode. Hahaha. The twins boarded their trikes from the ground floor as we were about to cross Royal Street, the traffic halted and made way for us to safely cross over the 20-foot carriageway as a precaution. This was the universal language the wagons and horsemen had implemented because the young ones were crossing the street and were too small to be noticed properly. So if one wagon stopped along the way and drew up a red and white checkered flag, it would show that traffic on both sides of the carriageway would stop and gave way. The same goes for the children who were crossing the street on their way home after school. The twins hurriedly kicked their feet on the paved road to reach the other end before the checkered red and white flag was lowered from the incoming wagon and traffic resumed its way once again. There was no traffic warden at that time and these wagons who used to ferry the town folks to and from the town square back to their homes on either 4 of the perimeters carried these flags with them. Once the twins had safely crossed the street, they stopped and waited for me to cross over and reach them. Then we walked along as the twins scooted around on their trikes as they weaved in and out of the human traffic as they moved along by my sides. The twins understood the word Coliseum as they soon made a beeline towards where their daddy was just about to complete the first round and was sprinting with ease on the last 450 yards. From the looks of his physique, it seemed that his methods of meditating and being with nature had done him good in some ways. "Look, my little darlings, your daddy had just completed his round and let's sit around at the bleachers and wait for him, shall we?" "Your daddy needs to run another round and it would be some time before he completes them." "Come, let's go and sit by the sides. There are also some soldiers too who were going at it after your daddy had performed his rounds. Seems the soldiers were driven to sprint like what daddy is doing right now." Those soldiers who had just completed their final Obstacle were clamouring to keep themselves steady as they had completed the leap of faith over the bramble bushes. Some had fallen in their knees and butts and managed to keep themselves up and ran forward. It was as fast as Audemars was doing right now but it's the efforts that count. I saw Audemars sprinting away as soon as his feet landed on the ground close to 10 feet away and without a pause, he sprinted to the finishing line. He wasn't even out of breath as he waved back to us and sprinted even more...! As soon as he crossed the finishing line he stopped and tapped something in the air and smiled to himself before he ran to greet us and the twins. They were ecstatic to find their daddy running towards them as they too scooted towards their daddy on their trikes. Maybe in 6 months down the road, the twins would be on their balance two-wheelers soon and began their way to an improved mode of transport like the rest of the children who had used their two-wheelers to reach school from their homes without the need to wait for the wagon transport. "Hi darling, have you concluded the meeting earlier? What did you discuss with the senior members?" Audemars asked me and I narrated to him in details and even added the fruit jams as well. "Woah... I never thought of it at all. Great job there, honey. We would be having more products very soon too." "Talking about honey, do you think we would have a honey bee farm? Ask around the community, especially the Romani Gypsies or the Irish Travellers. I'm sure they would have a way to harvest and cultivate these bee farms when the seasons call for it." "We would have honeycombs to sell and also mugs of royal honey. Of course, when it comes to honey, the best person would be to decide with the senior members or those who are familiar with them like the bakers, for example. Hehe." "Audemars seemed rather talkative indeed and what he had mentioned really sparked the idea to ask the Romani Gypsies and some of the Irish Travellers about honey." "I'm sure they would know better than us and I wondered who had brought back the honeycombs when we were back in the settlement era." "Was it Mama Kayla, Crystal or Gwen?" I thought to myself and before Audemars took off for another round, I mentioned that Marcel, his good old friend had returned and now was dining with his so-called lady partner. "Oh is it?! What a pleasant surprise...! It had been some time he had melt disappearing and now he brought back a lady friend eh? Hahaha." "I think he would stop gallivanting around the places once he had established his too over here. Well, I'm off to do another round and I would be joining with you later on. Did you see where Marcel went earlier? " Audemars asked and I replied that they might be devouring the whole menu listing at Greasy Spoon since it was the practise whenever Marcel reaches town. He would stuff his face and then he would return and resume his business thereafter. Audemars laughed when I used to describe how Marcel would be doing and he waved at us as he ran back to the starting point. I saw his posture was in a relaxed manner as earlier in the orchard and knew that he was putting his breathing methods to use. I tried to mimic what he was doing but I failed and instead, I breathe through my nose and exhaled through my pursed lips, just like one would do when they blew on the candles of a birthday cake. Hahaha. =*= "HAH...!!! There you are, my good old friend. We had been missing you for some time and we need our advice greatly" "It is not that we want to chase you off somewhere but I need you to convey several messages across to the networks." "I'm sure you would be up to the task an I right? Besides, who's this lady here? Why not join introduce her to us?" I watched on the sides as the two of them were pounding on each other back as if they had not seen each other for a long time. In fact, it had been the boodle fight when Marcel had came back and then went off silently to do his business. Right now he even had brought back a lady friend with him. "Ahem, err Your Majesty, my dear friend, this is Maricel and she came from France. She was an exchange student and believe me, she opposes the war that France and England had been entangled with. It would be better for two parties to bout it out in a boxing match to settle their differences...!" Marcel began his introduction as the lady, named Maricel began to stand up from her seat and curtsied towards us. Audemars mentioned that a slight bow or nod would suffice or else the food on the table would hit their faces and hair instead. "How come her name and yours were near-identical, eh, my good friend? I knew you were half French and now you had a full French with you. Hahaha. Maybe your friend here would like to share some French cuisine with Strongbow and also Jennings as well as Hereford?" Audemars was hinting and in a good and humorous manner and the lady beside Marcel never did take offence at all. "Actually her name was named after a town in France, it was Marseille, but it sounded like my name so we decided to change her name to Marcel instead." I nodded as I find that the original name really sounded like Marcel and thinking that the change of name is good. By the way, our town does not ostracise anyone who was French nationality and welcome everyone as equals. Audemars was chatting at the sides with Marcel when Maricel asked me about our twins and their names as well as their ages. "Oh this is Jesus Raphael whom we call Jay-R for short and this is Angelica Mae whom we call Amy for short. Both are twins are almost 1½ years of age. They are attending daycare school in the meantime from Monday and Fridays." Maricel was looking at the trikes that Audemars had brought up with him so the twins could idly sit on their trikes as they waited for the adults to finish conversing. They knew that they would not be able to scoot around in such places and simply sat there diligently. "Why not join us at the settee area once you're done? We won't stay here long and disturb your dining pleasures? See you soon my dear friend, we have so much to discuss when we get there." Audemars beckoned for us to leave the two lovebirds as they enjoyed their meals as they ordered a few more rounds of the menu from the waiters that were serving the upper floors. Seemed business was brisk as usual for Strongbow and Greasy Spoon as well as observed by us as we headed downstairs as Audemars carried Amy who was cradling the neck as Audemars hauled both of the trikes in both hands. "Dear, do you think those two had been married or something as I noticed a similar set of wedding bands in their fingers earlier. Maybe I'm right or not but I think Marcel had finally discovered his true love...!" I spoke to Audemars as he nodded his head and placed the trikes down on the ground. "It seems so since he had been out of town for many occasions secrecy as if he was on a covert operation or something. It is better for him that way too. At least his legs are somehow tied down over on this town." Audemars commented as I chuckled lightly thinking that Marcel would likely be getting his own brick house pretty soon.
