Enhancements

"And so, I went to the sea and rowed the boats as the other brothers were diving in and held several strands of those green mussels that mummy used to cook before. Those green coloured mussels were larger than the ones sold in the grocery store..." Before I could finish the rest of the story, I could see that Heather was softly snoring while she sat there in the armchair as she supported her chin in her hand. The twins were also trying hard to keep their eyes open as I told them some parts of the story where I could remember at the back of my mind since the meditations and breathing methods had somehow unlocked more episodes of me back in the past...! "My little darlings, come... Let me carry you both to bed, alright?" the twins heard me and reached their hands at me, asking to be carried off to their beds as I hauled them gently in my arms and carried them one at a time. Upon placing them on the beds, I quickly removed their tiny soft leather shoes that were made form rabbit's pelt and placed them at the foot of the bed. They were wearing socks and that too was removed. Their day clothes were changed into their own pyjamas and I tucked them both to sleep as they muttered 'night-night' to me. So cute... How I wished I could pinch their cheeks. Hahaha. The night was rather chilly and I made sure the blankets were over their bodies and under their armpits as their arms were exposed. They were wearing long sleeve pyjamas so it would be alright to leave it like that. After tucking in the twins, I have to tuck in the bigger baby. Hahahaha...! I princess carried Heather and she pulled her face close to my chest as I place one of her arms around my neck. Somehow I don't even feel how heavy she was at that time despite carrying extra pounds on myself through the leather and cloth armour. It was as if I had strapped 7 pieces of steel plates to myself. Hahaha. I slowly placed Heather on the bed and ticked her in as well. Of course, I didn't strip her naked and put on her nighties but she would be better without shoes and socks on. She was then placed under covers as I pecked lips a few times and she subconsciously puckered her lips as well. Heh... I think we better leave things as it is or it would turn out otherwise for both of us. I walked out of the bedroom right after I three a dark drab over the lampshade and went over to the study where I did the same. The lesser the light, the better my concentration on the meditation would be. After I had made several preparations, I sat cross-legged in the centre of the study and started my ritual. Within minutes I had entered my realm and I sprang into action as I swiped the present room right before me to the Fusion Chamber. There seemed to be some things I need to do before I could commence anything. "Ceres, are you there? I need to confirm with you somethings regarding life, vitality and so on." I called out and Ceres seemed to be back online when she heard her name being summoned. "Yes, Audemars. I am here so just ask what you need to ask." "It's this... About the red ruby. Its an essence of life, am I right? So when someone like me who possesses a guidance system wears one, it would add a certain amount of life to my current health points, am I right?" "Yes, that's right, Audemars. According to a poor quality ruby, you would gain an additional +17 health. Likewise, if you add a poor quality blue sapphire, you would gain an additional +17 mana points which makes it to 37 points instead." "Alright... That I seemed to understand and had taken note of it. But how about other people? I mean if let's say Heather had a 20 health and she wears a ruby, does she have a total of 37 health points?" "She had no way to find out, am I right? But since I have a guidance system, am I able to find out personally from them at a perspective?" I queried and I was hoping to get some answers to my preferences but the replies I got was like a wet blanket again... Wuwuwu. "The answer is N-O, Audemars. They could not tell the difference nor could you guess how many health points they do have." "When you encounter a beast, any like of beast, you would not see its level but you could either see its remaining health points and mana points. But not through human to human." "Do I answer your questions, Audemars? Only you could see for own personal self." Ceres replied me on her best of her abilities and I can't help but let out a long disappointed wail. "Awww... That really sucks a lot... I thought I have an ability to see like using the Crystal piece that I got from Penelope, the one that can see the difference between evil and good Witches." Ceres remained silent since maybe I didn't pose her a question and since she was dormant, I decided to rise a tour and see what kind of trinkets I could find among the crates that had been left by my old self. "Say, Ceres, you mentioned that my old self had made these trinkets from wood to become steel pieces. Which old self are you referring to, anyway?" I made small talk and also some questions or else the deafening silence in the Fusion Chamber would drive anyone crazy...! "Your old self named Robin Hood of Locksley, the Prince of thieves and also the leader of the New Vagabond Army." Ceres replied as I rummaged through some crates and found the pieces of trinkets that I was looking for. "That Robin Hood character sure had a lot of titles. Was he a noble too and how did he came into the picture, I mean how I entered into his body and take over his soul and mind?" "Ahh... The original Robin Hood was challenged by some burly men because he was carrying a small how and a quiver of arrows and had entered a marketplace." "During that time he was not a fugitive yet, but just a boy walking through the marketplace of a town, looking for some bargains to bring back home and cook." "Somehow, he got cheated through a competitive bet and was pushed about and tempted to take a bet to shoot a red deer about 50 or more yards ahead." "When he managed to shoot an arrow through the heart of the deer, the men who placed the bets all pointed their fingers at him and called the local men at arms to arrest Robin because he had shot the King's game." "And the penalty for killing the King's game was death during that time...!" "Out of anger for being cheated, and being made into a scapegoat, Robin unleashed 10 arrows and killed 10 of those men who had made Robin like a fool." "As the men at arms had already locked their sights on Robin and he had also killed the men that had dishonoured him, he had no chance but to flee from the scene and became a fugitive." "Right before he flees, you had transmigrated and was holding the bow and arrows and looking around at the dead men around the marketplace." "It was a total chaotic scene...! You could imagine that. Those 10 men had no change to flee as their hearts and jugulars were struck deep with the arrows that Robin Hood had unleashed." "But of course, the moment you transmigrated, you do not have the faintest idea of what happened until the men at arms were chasing after you and you had to run from the scene and never return again to the same marketplace." I was sitting down on one of the wooden crates as I listened to Ceres mechanical female voice booming in my head and narrated the story. I was so transfixed by the whole story and was wondering how formidable Robin was before I had taken over him before and how he had many titles under his belt. I cleared my throat as I thought about what Robin and I had done in the total opposite directions since I remembered the time when Matilda / Heather had threw a ladle at me while I was practising how to draw the strings of the bow that time. I thanked my lucky stars that I didn't get caught by the men at arms and be sentenced to death for killing a deer and at the same time killing 10 men in cold blood...! "I've gotten what I'm looking for. These are the pairs of anklets, bracelets, necklace and earrings with no pins and such but a sort of clamp on it." "There's 2 sockets on the anklet, 2 sockets in the bracelet, 1 socket for the earring and 3 sockets for the necklace. So there's a total of 13 sockets. Ceres, could the machine be able to create rings too? I would like to design some rings if possible." Ceres reply came as soon as I finished asking and she told me to turn the dials to create > new > accessory and then choose the diagram that's shown next to the dial. From there I would be able to choose what types of accessories I would like to have and even includes a hairband with sockets too. I went over to the machine and played with the dials for a while until I came to the desired option and asked Ceres in what I should do next since it's my so-called first time creating such things out of thin air. Ceres explained that in order for it to work, I need to place a steel piece and then crank the lever once I had made the right choice. Depending on the size of the accessory, it would take mere seconds to up to half an hour for the process to be completed. Ceres also advised that the machines were equipped with its own intelligence and it would be able to pick any type of armour, weapons, shield, or even pieces of clothing when the right dial was chosen. I chose to make the rings instead and I found the right design, not too flashy and not too big like what my deceased patents were wearing and had been buried with the clothes they last wore in the burial grounds. After placing a piece of steel plate, there's nothing else for me to choose since it is all automated and I closed the sliding door and pulled the lever. Then I went over to the crates that held the gemstones and picked 13 pieces of poor quality blue sapphire. With 13 pieces of these poor quality blue sapphires, I would gain an additional 221 mana points. I was happy to know about the achievements that I would get but Ceres advised me that the amount that I desired to achieve was actually lesser than a Level 0 Mage...! "Go and pick up those good quality blue sapphires. It would give you 45% more mana points per gem. Its +25 mana points per gem and it would give you a total of 325 mana points and you could use a lot of active skills without any worry." "Besides you do not have to worry about depleting your mana pool as it generates 0.25 mana point per second. Or 15 mana point per minute since the decimal point was not implemented during your time." "So in every 21 minutes or so, you would be able to regenerate back your mana points back to health." Cetes had given me the best tips in life and I followed her instructions because she was the best person to give out the best advice at the best time. Max out my mana points, regenerate them at any given time without a need for potions et cetera and be able to employ other active skills that I could unlock the rest further. "Alright then, so I have to do this one at a time for each accessory since I had a glimpse of the past that the old self Robin was doing it one at a time too." "That's right, Audemars, one at a time with the right amount of gems or else the gems would disintegrate into nothingness." I followed what Ceres had advised as I placed the piece of trinket and ensured that the sockets were empty and I had placed the right amount of gems next to the empty slot inside the machine. I chose the right dial on the other machines and chose to enhance > accessory and pulled the lever down towards me.
