I returned to the domain and had a quick shower since that twins were being cared for by the helpers while Heather was getting some groceries to prepare the meals today.
After I had changed into a fresh pair of clothes, a helper came in and greeted me as she brought up several pieces of armours to me at the settee.
"Your Majesty, these are left by Eagle for you." the domain helper placed the pieces armour and quickly excused herself and proceeded to her task at hand.
I thanked her and went to the pile of armour pieces and found that it only consisted of a vest, upper arm guards, a gauntlet with open fingered gloves and a pair of pants.
There was nothing else since the Shadow unit members prefer to wear something light and not to get weighed down by too much armour on their bodies.
That's understandable since the Shadow unit members prefer to remain as agile as possible.
All these pieces of armours were made of toughened leather. The most basic kind of armour after cloth. There were adjustable straps on the vest to fit the user.
The same goes to the gauntlet and upper arm guards too. The pants had several straps and buckles to fit the waist and thigh sizes and it looked pretty cool indeed.
These type of leather wear was something that Gwen got dressed up every day unless it was an occasion like the mass wedding or some sporting events.
All the pieces of armours were midnight black in colour and I guessed they might have weighed about 10 to 12 pounds altogether. Since I had changed and felt refreshed, I decided to meditate on my own and see if I could enter the realm or not.
"Ceres, in going to meditate now and would you also appear in the realm with me later on to give me the guide that I require?" I asked and Ceres answered positively.
At least there's someone who would be able to guide me since I would be alone and the first time going through the realm myself. I readied myself and sat cross-legged on the settee area and placed the pieces of armours beside me instinctively.
I closed my eyes and concentrated while I was soon lost in a kind of vortex and appeared in the realm sometime later. When I appeared at the realm the first thing I looked for was the other me.
But of course, it's only me right now and I was dressed in my clothes that I had worn earlier and the pile of armours were at my feet.
I picked myself up and walked around the white floors that seemed to be made of some kind of shiny stone slabs but were not slippery yet cool to touch. The 10 machines were looming around and it was as if the machines were looking down at me...!
I walked over to one of the machines and Ceres informed me that the machines could be configured the way I wanted it to be and could be conjured up just like how the Priest and Priestess were doing right now.
"Oh... You mean I could just visualise it in my mind and the object would then appear before me, just like that?" I asked with great interest since I could visualise anything in my mind and the object that I visualised would appear right before me.
"Something like that, Audemars but the most important thing is that you need to understand what the thing you wanted to visualise so it would be the exact product that would be produced."
"If you are not sure of anything, it would be best to leave those machines as it is since your other self had already configured the machines to the easiest to understand concept ever built."
"Ok...thanks for letting me know in advance because I simply don't know where to start right now and this only shows the machines. How about the smelting room and the rest of the rooms?"
Ceres soon advised me that to change the rooms in the realm would be to swipe the room aside just like what I did with the information panel system.
"Why don't you try it and create a blank room first." Ceres pointed to me a big plus sign at the top right corner of my screen and told me to hover my hand over it.
There was also a minus sign slightly next to it and told me that it is used to cancel my option. There was a wicker trashcan at the bottom right of my screen and told me that the option was to delete the whole room before me.
I was told to be careful because the action to delete would be irreversible. I quickly closed my fingers into a closed fist when I was told my Ceres that the delete option cannot be recovered and if I were to delete the room that had been made by my other self, I don't have the option to bring it back...!
So the next best option was to make myself a new room to test it out and as I hovered my hand over the big plus sign it wanted me to confirm if I want to create. I hovered to Yes and then the room where all the machines were were swiped to the side and I was left with a rather clean room with nothing in it except for the shiny white floor...!
"Oh... Where's the room with the machines? Is there a way for me to pick the rooms that I wanted to work on later?" Ceres then showed me to look at the bottom centre of my information panel system and I saw two arrows pointing to the sides.
"All you need to do was to hover your hand and pressed on that option right below. Then you can choose the rooms that you wanted. Beware though, don't swipe the rooms to fast or you would get giddy easily."
I hovered my hand and clicked on the left arrow and I came to the room where's there's a lot of machines earlier along with my pile of armours they were left lying in the ground.
I clicked the left arrow again and I came to the smelting area and I saw that the machines that were set up was rather complex and there are a lot of crates at the end of the room where the pallets were parked.
I guess the crates would be used to store or dump the ready pieces. I wondered if it's iron or steel pieces that had been processed by the duo before.
"Audemars, the duo that came in earlier were able to produce up to level 5 iron plates through this method."
"The method they made that time was rather simple. Your former self had made steel pieces instead and there are iron plates clearly marked and left aside too."
"You can choose which plates you want to use later on. You can choose the steel ones if you want to upgrade the pieces of armour."
I was astounded as Ceres was able to know what I'm going to do with the pieces or amour later. "Well Audemars, I am after all inside your mind and can read your thoughts and intentions clearly."
"Since Eagle doesn't need monetary rewards for the services he and his men had rendered to you, you decided that the next best thing was to design better pieces of armour for the Shadow unit members, am I right?"
I laughed when Ceres mentioned that she could read my mind and intentions well and I can't disagree with what Ceres had said regards to my 'gift' for Eagle and his men.
"When you merged or fuse the iron plates into the pieces of armour, something astounding would happen. The iron or steel piece would integrate itself and become a layer of meshed steel within the pieces of armour."
It's not unlike the pieces of armour that were being used by the cavalry and knights in this era. While you can see only the pieces of plates on a knights armour, but in this case, you would only feel the slight weight adjustment as the material would fuse and become a layer of reinforced mesh steel or iron within the pieces of armour instead."
"The outlook would be the same but the armour protection would be increased up to many folds."
"Why not take a few pieces of steel plates with you and you would be able to experiment on them later on."
"As a guidance system, I am here to guide you on how to make the pieces of armour that your other self had done."
I agreed at Ceres suggestions and went over to the crates where I saw lots of stacked iron and steel plates that were marked as RI-5 and RS-4.
"What are these markings for, Ceres? Does it signify anything?"
"RI-5 means it's a Level 5 Refined Iron plate while RS-4 means it's Level 4 Refined Steel Plate. Their quality is much better than the normal Iron or Steel plates which had been smelted down and refined further."
"So these pieces could be brought back to the real world too since the real world do have these iron and steel readily available?"
I asked and was delighted that I could bring back these pieces with me after I left the meditative state.
I picked 4 pieces of RS-4 plates and held it with me as I stepped back and pressed the left arrow directional button where it brought me to another room — distiller room.
"Aahh... This room smells terrific...! These distillers come in see-through materials that I could see the contents of the materials that had been steamed down to extract its essence."
"That's right, Audemars. There's a lot of fruits, flowers and also some minerals and woods that had been extracted to make the body soap, hair shampoo, laundry detergent, floor cleaners, nail polish, eyeliner, blusher kit and also lipstick, just to name a few."
"The clear see-through material is called glass, Audemars and glass are not invented during your era. But the contents could be brought out of you bring some vats and replace them."
Beside the distillers, I saw a machine that looked like the printers that came from the Gutenberg. It was crude but in this realm, the operations were automated and could be done by setting the sample to print and the copies that need to be printed by the hundreds...!
It was like someone would be here to manually churn out these prints.
"That's a printer, Audemars. Your old self used it to make the wrappings for body soap and some labels for the beauty and cleaning products. For your information, paper and ink existed in your era and so this could be made and be brought back to your real world."
I smiled widely since I knew that these things that had been left by my old self were actually meant for me and as if the old self knew that I would be coming back here in 20 years time after he had left.
"Alright then, let's go to the empty room and see what I could come up with. Help me out Ceres for I might blunder for the first few times there."
Ceres just answered in some bleeps and tinkle as I hovered my hand over the left directional arrow and just as I thought, it came back to the empty room that I had created.
Time to get to work and try out something new now. I rubbed my hands as I felt excited to experiment something like conjuring things through my mind in this realm.
Maybe I should try with something small and light then.
