New Me

After all the information had been digested by me, I asked Ceres about my personal information that was shown on the main page of the information panel.

"Ceres, what am I supposed to do with this information right here in front of me now? Would it be stagnant or would it be enhanced as time goes by?"

I was simply tapping on the main panel of my biodata where it showed my personal information. Even if it showed some data, but it was truly paltry and I never knew they all my 20 years of living I had so little attributes in the statistics that had shown before me.

"This is your personal biodata statistics based on the current you at this moment. Regardless of how long you had been living in this world, just take it as a personal slate they would be upgraded as time goes by."

"Since you had unlocked yourself and you are able to access the information system before you, let me do the honour of guiding you one step at a time to ensure they you would be getting the best of what you need to grab on to at this moment."

"Feel free to click around on the screen and of you need anything, just ask for my assistance. That's what I am here for, as a guidance system."

Ceres finished explaining and I looked at my physical and mental statistics which looked so darn pathetic at this moment. No wonder Ceres was saying I ranked seventh or more within the Shadow units. Does she mean they knead ranked seventh from the rest?

"That's right, Audemars. You are ranked seventh from the rear, actually."

Geez... That's what I was afraid to hear.

The physical statistics page showed 3 attributes and those are:

Strength - measuring physical power and carrying capacity.

Constitution - measuring endurance, stamina and good health.

Dexterity - measuring agility, balance, coordination and reflexes

The mental statistics page showed 3 attributes as well and they are:

Intelligence - measuring deductive reasoning, knowledge, memory, logic and rationality.

Wisdom - measuring self-awareness, common sense, restraint, perception and insight.

Charisma - measuring force of personality, persuasiveness, leadership and successful planning.

When I clicked on every statistics shown in the screen before me I discovered the following figures that had me intrigued. Besides my intelligence attributes that shown are hovering close to 40, while my physical attributes were at only the early 20 points...!

Gah...! How could I increase my physical attributes so that I would be able to survive if I were to lead a party and venture out to seek those mythical creatures since the bald-headed guy claimed that I had a third eye?

"Audemars, you need to do more meditation and other forms of exercises such as the RedCoc that your engineers had already completed. They are waiting to announce the completion because you had mentioned to them that you would have a go at it first."

I slapped my forehead and knew that to increase my physical attributes was through strenuous exercises. How could it slip my mind?

"Ceres, how about the mana pool? Which exercises increases the mana?" I asked a rather absurd question and that made me feel a bit ashamed of myself as I am getting used to all the information that I could gather.

"If you enter the realm, you can see the information that you need where crates of blue sapphires are waiting for you."

"These blue sapphires, when they are socketed to your helm and your body armour, would increase your mana pool between 5 to 38 each depending on the quality of the gemstone"

"Right now your mana pool stands at 20, which could be considered as default. So in order to increase your mana pool, you need to have a new set of the uniform that you would be wearing day and night in order to have a stable flow of mana in you."

"Although it may sound absurd right now, you will get the hang of it once you consider the armour pieces that you weer be your everyday outfit from then on."

I listened intently to what Ceres had mentioned to me and I decided to have something that would look inconspicuous as daily wear. It would be lightly armoured that suit both my profession and I discovers that cloth armour would suit those professions fine.

I don't need to wear a complete set of iron or steel armour plates, gauntlet, thigh guards, shin guards and boots like the one I saw 11 years after in my dreams but something light and able to enhance my flexibility and not hinder my agility too much.

"Ceres... Were you there when you were helping Robin out to redesign the armour pieces through those huge and cumbersome machines back then?"

"Yes, Audemars. There are a total of 9 pieces of armour that you had redesigned during that time. There was a helm, vest, pants, shin guards, knee guards, boots, elbow and upper arm guards, pauldrons and gauntlet with open fingered gloves."

"The elbow and upper guards was a single-piece design while the gauntlet and open fingered gloves were also a single-piece design as well."

"You were quite an innovative designer that time and you were also a Ranger and Assassin as well. In the later stages, you had become a Pugilist, Assassin, Warrior and Ranger and you called yourself a PAW Ranger. Very catchy acronym indeed during that time."

Wow...I was a warrior as well? My goodness me... How many equipments do I carry at that time? A bow, daggers, shield, longsword...

Won't I feel burdened with all those items weighing me down? I guess with the added 45 to 65 pounds of armour, I would be the last to reach the battlefield and collect only the spoils of war instead...! Hahaha.

"No, Audemars. You are not weighed down since you don't carry a large bow and a shield but rather at a later stage, you were carrying an Assassin crossbow that could be concealed in your hand. It's like a mini version of a large crossbow and its only about 45 pounds of draw strength."

"The crossbow bolt was only from the tip of your middle finger and to the cradle of your arm. That's how short the crossbow bolts were that time."

Interesting...! I had never seen a single-handed Assassin crossbow before in my life and I only had seen the larger version ones.

"Is the crossbow available in the realm right bow? I wanted to bring it back here in the real world and have it mad produced for all our Assassins when we decided to make 2 more guilds in the future."

"Audemars, their crossbow is available in the realm and the functions are only available in the realm itself. Meaning to say that the crossbow could be tested out and utilised in the realm only."

"It couldn't be brought out and it would disintegrate the moment it was to be brought to the real world."

"That crossbow is self-loading with unlimited bolts and it came from a parallel universe on the form of the other you. You can ask me if certain things could be brought out or not because if anything exists in this world, it could be brought in and out from the realm like the Level 8 Refined Iron Plates or the Level 4 Steel Plates."

"Anything that is out of this current world could not be brought out. It won't change the course of history but it would be disintegrated because it is not supposed to exist in this world yet."

"Take for example the Dandy Horse, it only existed in about 400 years later but somehow your engineers were able to produce something like it right here in this century. The  Patrol is also another contraption that existed about 500 years from now but it was produced here in this era."

"In the realm, you could summon common everyday household items from the future and you could tinker with it. I think the younger you, named Himura Kenshin had ever brought in items from your future which was exactly 607 years ahead of this time."

"W-H-A-T??? I actually existed 607 years ahead of this time? Some hint had happened to me in the future that actually brings me through different bodies and reliving their lives by taking over their souls and mind and then it got repeated once I had changed their fate or destiny or something?"

I would think aloud since I discovered some truth from Ceres and I can't believe that I had travelled from the furthest future and had been thrown about through the passage of time until I go to this world.

However, I don't feel regret because I can't remember any of those passages if the time that I had travelled and lived in since I was born as a Macleod 20 years ago...!

"Yes, Audemars. I am well aware that you may be surprised but at the same time, you are also feeling positive about yourself. Since you had been born to this world after the last leap as yourself before, I guess you can term it as reborn once again."

"You have many dozens of years ahead of you and being 20 right now is the best time for you to get physically fit and meditate as much as possible so you could have more time to spend in the realm and discover more things to further build your town and your empire."

Ceres advised me and I felt good at what was being said to me. After some small talk with Ceres, I cleared away all the screens before me and only left the blinking floating button on the left-hand side of my vision.

Well, some things I have to get used to it for the time being since I am the new me right now. A person with a guidance system and also some overpowered skills that would definitely deplete my mana points if I don't do something about it.

"Alright then, Ceres. A human like me still needs to have a good rest and I'd be getting my usual things done for the day before I could get into a meditative state of mind again. Would I be flying through the vortex or something like that once again?"

"No, Audemars. You would end up either in the realm of your subconscious mind. You are in total control of where you need to be and just summon them up in your mind and you would be in your way."

"You also don't need the censer or have anyone to help you bring you back to the real world. Once you are done just take a few steps back and then you would be back where you had come from."

"Practise makes perfect. Soon, entering your meditative state would be like entering and exiting your bedroom."

Hearing what Ceres and said earlier makes it sound so simple and what she said was true indeed. Practise makes perfect too.

"One piece of advice. Do not bring others inside your realm because it would be a burden to your inner self."

"Do not being your twins or else they are going to be stuck in there as well. It's not the time for you to bring anyone into the realm and I would advise you when it would be the time, do you understand perfectly well, Audemars?"

"You would be harming yourself and you could die...! "

The last sentence struck my inner chords and I immediately stopped thinking of inviting Heather in since I saw the hunger me and a man entering the realm and were dumping the scrap iron weapon and armour pieces to smelt before.

Of course, after discovering the new me... Do you think I would risk everything and die instead?
