Delegation

1388 Words
After gaining some invaluable knowledge from the Priest and Priestess as well as sound advice from everyone, including Eagle, we headed back to the domain where we met with Gwen and Michelle. "Alright Gwen and Michelle, listen up carefully now. There would be some tasks that would be issued out once the Adventurers had finished their two courses that were held in the classrooms later on." "There would be 4 following tasks which would be charting of the outdated maps, finding the places where the mythical creatures might dwell, seek out other Priest and Priestess from all the cities, towns, villages and settlement all around our town within a radius of 36 miles or more and lastly Hunting for the game - 1 copper per pound of meat except for wild boar and venison that would be 2 coppers per pound of dead weight." "The first, second and third tasks are considered as three stars rating with a high difficulty ranking. The rewards for the first and second tasks would be set at 40 silvers per team since they would be likely to spend up to two weeks to chart those maps and to search those elusive mythical creatures." "The third one would be paid as per headcount as the Priest and Priestess that comes over here would report to the Adventurers Guild and announce the name of the party leader. So Michelle or Gwen, please take note of that record diligently, alright?" Both the ladies before me nodded their heads as they understood my fairness. "These Adventurers concerned would be earning 2 silvers per headcount and its accumulative." "That means there's no limit of how much they could earn. Even the amount was not that much compared to the others, there would still be some risks involved." I explained how the breakdown would be careful to the ladies and they take note of it. Since either Michelle or Gwen would be at the registrar, they would compile which Priest or Priestess would represent and pay the party leader when he got back along with the names of other Priest and Priestess that had been discovered and had not arrived in town. "There will be an added party member joining the Adventurers in the third task. It is an Assassin as he would be tasked to take out the evil Witches and straight flush them out from this earth." "The Assassin and the leader of the party would be equipped with a magic clear crystal piece which enabled them to distinguish which are the normal people and which are the evil and good ones." "There's some calculated risk, so the remuneration after completion of the third task would then be decided on the day they return." "We just hope that nothing untoward would happen to all the Adventurers. They are someone's son and daughter as well as nephews and nieces and even made up of newlyweds." "Should we increase it to four stars instead and rank it as extreme difficulty in the ranking, Your Majesty?" Michelle who had been quiet suddenly voiced out her opinion. "Make it four stars as you said and ranked it as very hard difficulty instead. The extreme difficulty would require someone to enter a lions mouth and extract its sore tooth. Hahaha." I joked to make light of the situation and the ladies just let out a soft one instead. Heather just threw me a punch at my arm and just glared at me. Maybe she was jealous that I was trying to joke with her competitor back in uni. Haiyoo... This girl... She already is a mother of two twins babies and she still was jealous?!? I cleared my throat as I wanted to emphasise on the next matter at hand. Which was the distance of the minimum range the adventurer would wield the clear magic crystal over their eyes and made it a point to remind Gwen and Michelle to remind the Adventurers when they had been balloted for such tasks? "Yes, Your Majesty, we understand the importance of letting the Adventurers it to get too close when they do their detection. It would not be advisable to detect from afar since I don't think the Adventurers would be able to see on distances further than 50 yards away." "Nevertheless, we will advise the Adventurers on the uses and risks. Thank you so much for dessimating this vital information for us. We do hope that those Adventurers that chose this task would be well aware of the star rating and the dangers as well." Gwen spoke up while Michelle looked on with anticipation since they had just issued the first task and it would be about 2 weeks or so before the Adventurers had completed their trek in order to visit those cities, towns, villages and settlements not mentioned in their list of known places. "That's right. Please ensure that the Adventurers do not harm themselves or put their lives at risk at any time during their expeditions. It's meant to be educational and also to form some sort of preparedness during times of emergencies." I was a bit lost for words since I myself do not have much idea of being an adventurer since the idea was hatched by Gwen alone during that time. "Well, Gwen, I think do not have to put in worlds in what you should be advising these Adventurers prior to their expedition. Besides, I'm hoping to get some good news they would bring in more citizens here in this town." "So far, if I put that what I had seen before in my dreams, I saw all the houses in this town had already been filled and I could say that in the year 1453, we may have achieved our target in being a prosperous little city." "Just imagine that close to 4,000 homes here in this town had been filled and it would be between 12,000—16,000 citizens living here harmoniously while being fully employed." "It's really an achievement that we hope to see in the near future, not for us but for everyone," I concluded and hoped they Gwen and Michelle would be able to delegate and pass the message down to ensure the safety of all Adventurers lives. Besides, the 4th task which was to flush out the evil Witches and detecting the good ones to let them know of the rest of the Priest and Priestess that had gathered here and contributed to the society. We would be hoping to congregate the whole of the good Witches here in our town so we would be able to harness their special abilities for our own advantage. Besides, what happened before in my dream could be achieved in this manner, I hoped. When we had our final say regards to the tasks, Michelle and Gwen took note of certain mentions and jotted them into their own journals. Besides, no one has a good memory in remembering things so they ensure that when the time comes, the first batch adventurers would then take their rest and let the others go for the rest of the tasks. The first batch of Adventurers could also take up courses that had been organised by the teachers to fill their time. At least they could earn some silvers by the end of the course and also their short assessment. When we had wrapped up the things, Michelle excused herself as she went back to her house while we retired back upstairs. Gwen joined her husband at one of the rooms on the first level. Fortunately, all the pioneers were grouped in one place and easily be contacted. Soon, all of us were captured by the zee monsters and drifted off to our own dreamland. =*= Dear friends and fans, If you discover any grammatical errors along the way, we would appreciate if you would be able to point them out as part of helping us to keep this novel as perfect as possible.
