SIENNA'S POV
I laid still feigning sleep while straining to hear the hushed conversation between Kalton and Nurse Klapana right in front of me.
“How is she doing,” Kalton finally asked the Nurse
"She's stable. Her vitals are strong,” the nurse replied grudgingly
“Please make sure she's okay,” he answered
“I see you like this one,” the nurse said to him. “Do you plan to take her too?”
I fought to keep my breathing steady, not wanting to give away that I was awake and listening.
“Maybe…” Kalton replied to her and I had to bite my tongue to keep me from gasping at the things I heard.
Whenever I felt his gaze on my skin, I felt like a piece of meat. The hushed conversations… it didn't help matters
