Ella was about to take some plates from the kitchen cabinet when she heard the question and she stopped in her tracks.
She stopped what she was doing as she contemplated on whether she should tell them the truth or not.
She wanted to tell them the truth, but she decided against it because she knew that would be a trap as it would only lead to more questions that she did not have the guts to answer, at least, for now.
"No sweetie, it's not about your dad." She lied.
She saw that they were about to ask another question so she quickly cut them off.
"No more questions! Now go brush your teeth or you won't go with me to the airport to pick uncle Fabian!" Ella threatened them.
