Chapter Fifty-Five
The call to Agent Harper in his office was short, but its only purpose was to set up a meeting with him away from the Bureau.
When Harper arrived at Darque’s building on Fort McNair, he was led into Darque’s office where the two men could talk.
“Tom, it’s good to see you again,” Darque said as he rose from behind his desk to shake the man’s hand.
“Have you had any luck finding the person who infected the government computers,” Darque asked.
“Not yet,” Harper said, “but I believe we’re getting close. It’s difficult to conduct an investigation in an atmosphere where I can’t trust anybody not to leak any information I may come up with.”
