Chapter Fifty-Seven
After assigning teams to surveil the seven people of interest with the initials JK, Yoda got into the car with his driver Brady and headed out to locate the member he had chosen to follow.
“So, what are we looking for?” Yoda asked.
“Once we find our target, we’ll be looking for any sign of clandestine activity on his part,” Brady said.
“What if we don’t find any?” Yoda asked.
Brady thought about his answer before responding.
“Not everybody we follow turns out to be of interest in an investigation,” he said. “Finding nothing of significance is a way of helping to rule out an individual as a jurisdictional foe. As you often said, if we’re not willing to work as hard to prove innocence as well as guilt, we really aren’t much of an investigator.”
