Once the FBI seminar had been completed, it didn’t take Darque long to acquire the information he needed to confirm his suspicion that Jeremy Kinkaid was Mr. Smith.
The proof was found by Glitch’s team in a decoded message sent to China.
Along with information about his trips in the area to collect information for use in the next attempt to kill Darque, the message contained a copy of the document ‘assigned’ to Kinkaid by Harper at the FBI conference.
“Agent Harper, this is Chadeaux,” he said after placing a call to the man.
“I just got the results of the trap we set for the mole, and now that I think about it, Kinkaid should have been the obvious choice from the beginning,” Harper said.
“That may be so,” said Darque, “but now we have proof of his complicity, and
