Chapter Ten
After a short evaluation in the Emergency Room of the hospital, I was immediately prepped for surgery. An IV was put into the back of my hand and I was off into la la land. Vaguely I heard people talking but the world was an absolute incomprehensible blur and I really didn’t care.
After a couple hours of surgery, I was moved into the recovery room where I had a lot of trouble coming out of the anesthesia. I was a little nauseous and didn’t feel the greatest. Finally, they moved me up to a room on the second floor where Annie was waiting.
It took a while but the world slowly came into focus.
“Hey babe,” I whispered.
