Chapter 2

1429 Words
Addison’s POV The mass has ended, and now we're traveling somewhere I didn't know. ''Wait, Addie? What happened to you in the restroom?'' Annie asked. ''Yes, Addie? Don't tell me...'' Annie and Timmy are looking at each other suspiciously.  ''Hey...hey!? LMAO, it's not what you think, okay!?'' I defended myself because I know these two are thinking erotic stuff. ''Then, what happened to you, Dear?'' Timmy asked again while emphasizing the word 'dear.' ''There is this one guy I quarreled in the restroom. While typing a message for you, Timmy, I slipped since the floor is wet. To my surprise, that guy caught me, so I will not fall directly on the floor. Take note he's in a wheelchair, and I didn't know how he managed to catch me,'' I said. Since my friends are crazy for nothing, they shouted as if something happened nicely to me. ''Is he handsome?'' Timmy asked. ''A-ah... maybe?'' I lied. ''Addie, I know you, and I know you are lying,'' he said while Annie is waiting for my answers too. ''Okay, fine! He's handsome!'' I shouted. For the second time around, they both shouted in excitement. ''You two are crazy!'' I exclaimed. ''Anyway, where are we going?'' ''We're going to eat first, I'm already hungry,'' Timmy said. I just mouthed, 'okay' and I shut my mouth. After that, no one tried to open up a conversation again. I'm just watching outside the window of the car because I'm not in the mood to use my phone. ''By the way, the one I'm telling you guys earlier is, we're going to a psychic, Isn't it exciting?'' Annie started the conversation again while waiting for our answers. ''Then, what are we going to do in there?'' Timmy asked, without looking at us. ''Of course! We're going to foresee our future, our soulmates?'' Annie answered. ''We should try it! Besides, we have nothing to lose if we try it, right?'' ''That's nonsense, and I don't believe in that thing,'' I commented. ''Addie, you should try it later. No more buts, okay?'' Timmy said. ''And if you refuse it, I'll get mad at you,'' Annie complained to me. I just rolled my eyes because I have no choice but to try it later. It was the truth I don't believe in that kind of thing. Remember, our fate is depending on our hands. I mean the way we live our lives every day, right? After traveling for almost twenty-minutes, we've finally reached our destination. After we park the car, we quickly walk towards the said Filipino restaurant that Annie told us. Well, I'm no longer new to this, because it is our favorite restaurant since then. ''What's your order?'' I asked. ''Same goes with before, and don't forget the adobo, Addie,'' uttered by Anni while plastering her beautiful smile at me. I just smiled to assure her that I won't forget her favorite dish. Everything in here has the touch of Filipino culture. ''Timmy, you haven't answered our question earlier,'' Annie said. With Annie's question, Timmy looks at us confused. ''Which one, Sis?'' he asked. ''When did you start talking to Paulo?'' I said. ''It seems that both of you are getting good with each other. Isn't it?'' ''Oh? I see, I think two weeks ago already?'' he answered. ''What? Two weeks? And you haven't told us?'' Annie complained. Timmy puts his cellphone down, and he raises his hand. ''Fine, okay? You two should calm down...'' he said. I just rolled my eyes because of disbelief. Maybe Annie couldn't believe he didn't tell us that's why she was a little upset, and so do I. ''I'm sorry for not telling you this, okay? The reason why I didn't tell you about it because Paulo doesn't want it,'' he explained.  I smell something fishy about it, and I think they're dating already? If that's the case then, I'm happy for Timmy. ''Got you, Babe! So you and Paulo are dating already?'' Annie asked then she's smiling demonically.  I'm just smiling at them, and I'm waiting for Timmy's answer. ''Maybe? We usually go outside on weekdays,'' he answered. ''But, it doesn't mean we're dating. I don't want to put any malice on what is happening to us, okay? Remember, my heart is so fragile.'' Our conversation stops when our food arrives. We start preparing all the things needed, and we're getting food for our plates.  Annie's smile is so wide because she's going to eat adobo again. ''Anyway, Timmy, we're happy for you. Whatever may happen, we're just here for you, okay?'' I said in the middle of our meal. ''Yes, Dear, and please tell us if Paolo hurts you right away. We're going to hurt him for you, right Addie?'' I just nodded to Annie, and I continued eating. ''Ah... I'm getting emotional here. I love you my, best friends!'' Timmy exclaimed without thinking that we're in a restaurant. We looked around, and we noticed that some people were looking at us. We laughed silently because of that. After eating for almost thirty minutes, we directly headed towards the fortune teller. ''Timmy? Are we close already to that place?'' I asked while typing on my phone. I look at Timmy, and I'm waiting for his answer who's busy driving. After typing, I put my phone in my little bag, and I look outside to see the place. ''We're here!'' Timmy shouted inside the car. ''Welcome to Makiling,'' I mouthed. I never knew there is such a place here. I turned to Annie to ask her about this place. ''How did you find this place?'' I asked. This place seems to be an old town. You can see a lot of dream catchers you can see being hanged. No wonder this is called a magical place. ''Actually, my friends recommended this place. So, this is also my first time here,'' she answered. ''This place gives me goosebumps, and I'm excited to buy a dream catcher!'' Timmy was fascinated by the place. ''Let's go! Let's look for the establishment named 'Mamus Vision' that was the name told by my friend.'' After hearing those words from Annie, we followed here while looking in different directions. This place is a typical Filipino market to visit by anyone. A lot of people are passing by with the things they've bought. There is a group of friends taking some pictures. ''There!'' Annie shouted. We looked at the directions she pointed, and there we saw the sign. ''Hurry up! I can't wait to hear the signs about my soulmate!'' We just followed Annie, who is in a hurry to see the psychic. Honestly, the moment we got here, I felt the presence of being magical. I am now excited to know the signs about my soulmate, just like Annie. Finally, we've reached the establishment. We went inside one by one, and Annie asked the staff. ''Hmm..excuse me, Miss? Where is Mamu?'' ''Oh! Welcome, Ma'am, and Sir here at Mamu's Vision! This way, please.'' The staff instructed us.  We walked towards the said room, and the moment we got inside, we saw a woman staring straight at us. ''Good day, visitors! Are you here for your soulmate? By the way, call me Mamu,'' Mamu said. ''Exactly, Mamu!'' Annie said excitedly. ''Okay, Miss! Lend me your hand, please.'' Annie immediately lends her hand to Mamu. Annie is happy to hear all the signs given by Mamu. Mamu also stated that Annie and his soulmate already met. The same goes with Timmy, and for your information, we shouted because we're thinking about Paulo. Now, it's my turn. ''The moment I held your hand, I saw in my vision that you and your soulmate already met,'' Mamu explained. ''OMG! It might be my brother Joshua!'' Timmy exclaimed. ''No, Timmy! It might be the guy he talked to in the restroom earlier!'' Annie said, and they both shouted in excitement. ''Shh! Please be quiet. A-ah Mamu? Can I get a sign from you about my soulmate?'' Mamu just nodded at me, and she started shuffling all the cards. ''First sign has something to do with a star. I saw in my vision also that you and your soulmate will meet again,'' Mamu said. ''Can we know the reason why they're going to meet again, Mamu?'' Timmy asked. ''That's all I can say, sorry. If I tell you more about it, the fate might change.'' We just nodded after hearing those words from Mamu. After paying the staff, we directly headed back to the car and went home silently.
