Yes, she was not wrong Norman was holding her and twisting her head to have a look at him, she could see the gratitude in his eyes, feeling that he was about to say something, she quiet down as she told him not to stress himself.
She let out a smile and her heart could not stop beating. She wished that she could make things better without having to confound them so much. He was just making an effort to be a good person but her hatred for him could not let her see that.
"What if he was not the reason why my mother died? what if he was telling the truth of not being responsible for her death?", all these questions ran through her mind, but she had no answer for them.
"Do you want me to get you some food?", Daisy asked with her head lowered but Norman, voicing out that he wants just her, left her freezing with shame.
"What do you mean by you want me?", she asked feeling all nervous and sick as she could not understand why he had said that but knowing that she has always been giving him troubles she child did not think of the fact that he was in love with her.
" You gave attention to me right? so you know what I said", he mumbled and he could see the sweat that had cropped up on her face. Asked why she was feeling the way she was but Daisy could not respond to his question and rather chose to bury her face in her palms.
"Are you certain you are not feeling hungry?", she inquired again but Norman let out a laugh as he noticed that she had changed the subject.
" Can you come over here?", he asked her.
"What for?", she responded with another question making Norman feel like she was not going to come closer to him. Thinking of fake something, he closed his eyes and slide down his head on one side bringing his tongue a little outside. Daisy kept on talking alone thinking that he was listening to her but when she noticed the silence that was in the room, she called out his name turning in his direction but Norman did not respond, she freaked out running to the inner side bed to check on him.
" Norman, wake up please I am here now so tell me what you were calling me for", she shook him feeling tears running down her eyes already but could not think of any other thing to wake him up. So she came to be shouting out for the nurses to come when she suddenly felt a hand grab her by the neck and kiss her unexpectedly.
Savoring the taste of his lips, Daisy closer her eyes and enjoyed every bit of it. She had not gotten the courage to push him
away and reciprocating the kiss was the only thing that she could do.
Taking his lips out from hers, Norman watched at her countenance as she was still lost in the deepness of his kiss licking her mouth and thinking that he was still kissing her. Norman, could not stop staring at her in her fantasy so he spoke out,
"Do you still want more?", his voice came out interrupted her moment as she jerked out holding her lips. As soon as she wanted to say another word, the nurse came into the room, asking how her patient was doing.
" I am doing fine", he responded and the nurse immediately seized the words from his mouth saying,
"You ought to be fine sir as your beautiful wife is by you".
Daisy's blush could be seen on her face and twisting her fingers on her dress, she stood up and excited herself. Wanting to hold her back, Norman thought of the fact that she could be feeling uncomfortable, due to the horses presence but not understanding why she will be feeling shy, he let out a deep breath taking a look at the nurse and asking how his condition going.
" You are healing up finely and not to worry, there are no further complications", she responded. Taking the injection into her hands, she pulled it out the mixtures into it and walked closer to Norman applying the alcohol on a cotton to wipe his wound.
