Escaping Reality.

Chapter seventeen

Regina's pov

We got on the road so fast . We were all seated in a limousine . Gwen was seated before me looking out of the window with a " don't talk to me" look, while Blue was by my side , casually flipping some papers looking like a saint.

Hmph, saint my foot! . My cheeks grew hot at the thought of what he did . I patted my cheeks lightly, not that I can help them though.

Turning my attention to the road, it is a very long drive though. We have been passing on a road through the woods for ten minutes or less .

The house that we're relocating to must be secluded and far from Adolf university. The cab fare is definitely going to be high .

" It's very far from the hospital" Gwen declared and Blue glanced at him before returning his gaze .

" Hmm . You get to wake up early and go to work" Blue replied coolly.

" I don't want to" Gwen said and Blue's eyes snapped towards him, it almost sounded as if he was a kid whining . I sat stiffly, carefully taking note that the atmosphere was getting rather tensed .

" I just want quit for a while. Besides , I didn't study medicine to work in a hospital. " He mumbled out, refusing to hold Blue's gaze . The what did you study medicine for? I couldn't help but question him in my head .There was a long silence in the car and the pressure was almost making me break out cold sweats.

" Skills ...when they are not practiced, they die. " Blue replied simply, indifferently looking back to the papers in his hands.

Gwen seemed to have gotten his answer as he said no more.

He really knew how to ruin the mood .

I looked out of the window, looking at the beautiful sun that was now up in the sky . I couldn't help but reminisce about how lucky my life had become this past few days. It was just too good to be true.

Few minutes later, we arrived at a huge gate which opened automatically, letting the limo go in smoothly.

I gasped in awe as I saw the beautiful large compound, filled with flowers , with a mansion standing gallantly at a distance.

" Wow, I wasn't aware of this ." Gwen said amazed .

" It was supposed to be a surprise " Blue replied as we got out of the car.

" Did you spend your life fortune on this ? "

" Just a few investments " he replied . Gwen and I snapped our head at him at the same time.

" This is huge " we muttered at the same time.

Gwen looked at me with a glare and I glared back as hard as I could . Blue chuckled at our expression before walking away. Gwen followed and I trailed behind.

" Where's my car ? " I heard Gwen asked him as he looked at the car garage.

" I had Vincent scrape it" he replied.

" Really. Was it bugged ? " Gwen asked with a frown on his face.

" Yes , with trackers " Blue replied as we got to the front door of the house and my jaw dropped at the beauty and elegance of the house also at his words .He surely had many enemies , too much for a celebrity. A man with a short black hair cut military style, handed him some keys .

" It's been a while Rex " he said in a deep voice.

'Rex ' it sounded like a title .

" The house and cars are safe . Everything is under control." He said again with a serious expression. Well , it sounds like a serious matter to me.

" Yes . Thanks ." Blue replied .

" Vincent ! After all this while you never let this hair grow. " Gwen was full of laughter as he spoke to him . Vincent nods fondly at him.

" You are still as funny as ever " Vincent replied before his eyes snapped towards me curiously.

" Oh , This is our new cook, Regina" Gwen said . I could feel his unwillingness in the air . He was still holding a grudge.

Vincent looked surprised for a second before he regained his normal demeanor.

" Nice to meet you, Miss Regina" he said nodding at me with his hands crossed behind his back.

" Same here . " I replied.

Dragging my black bag with me , I walked into the huge house with Gwen trailing behind me .

Blue was sitting on a couch with closed eyes. The designer jacket he wore before was now lying on another couch . He looked like a charming little prince in a castle, he also looked very exhausted . He couldn't even attend the meeting he was going for.

I was still mentally sympathizing with him when his eyes flutter open, his deep blue eyes complimenting his Blue hair . He stared straight back at me , jolting me out of my trance .

I looked away in embarrassment . I mean he just caught me staring at him !

" Your room is the first one you see upstairs ." He said .

" Me ? " I asked him and he nods. Gwen sank in a couch too looking pissed.

I walked upstairs stiffly . Getting to my room, I gasped at the sight of the well furnished large room . Beautiful ! .It was way larger than the room in the Vila . You could lose weight just by walking around. I quickly arranged my things into the room and packed my brown hair into a bun .

I went downstairs to make lunch. Gwen and Blue sat there lost in their own thoughts.

I passed the dining room and walked into the kitchen. The kitchen was separated with a bar that had marble countertops and a whole oven !

A smile rose on my face . Wow , it seemed like I'm going to explore my drop dead skills from now on .

Can a fridge be any fuller ? It was simply packed up with food stuffs .

I contemplated on what to make for launch. I'm about to wow their taste buds.

Getting to work, I made pasta and chicken sauce coupled with some stir fried shrimps .

Inhaling the scent , I smiled .

" Now, this is life. Why worry about problems that are eventually going to be solved " I said, " or Not! " My brain rebutted and I sighed .

I really hope I can catch the culprit who is giving Blue a hard time. I'm really going to tear him apart ! Bone by bone .

I dished the food in bigger bowls , so it'd be a ' serve your self' kind of thing . I took it to the dining room. Sure enough, the two boys were looking towards the kitchen. The work of my magical hands can capture anyone's attention.

Well , this was the only thing I could do exceptionally well. Cooking!

I gestured for them to come over which they did as I set the table. Gwen eyes was glued to the table . What a glutton!

" Alright . Dig in. " I told them as I tried to walk away. Blue's eyes was glued on me .

" Join us" He said and I froze up.

" Later. I'll eat later . " I replied with a small smile. His deep blue eyes contracted slightly.

" Sit and join us. It was not an request " he said and I glanced Gwen , who was too preoccupied with his food to hear us .

" What are you afraid of, it's not like I haven't seen you eat before." he pressed on .

Heh , I have bad habit of wolfing down on my food and it was hell embarrassing to do that before Blue first . I didn't want to embarrass myself any further. Once I'm with my food everything blurs expect the food.

I finally blinked at Blue and shook my head slightly as a 'no ' .

" Sit " he said slowly, daring me to disobey and I frowned. I looked at the dishes on the table and my mouth watered. I can't wait anymore, let's get over and done with this .

I sat down and clasp my hands together for a short prayer before I began to eat .
