Claire Dane’s POV The room is dark except for the soft glow of the nightlights filtering through the curtains. I’m curled beneath the cozy comforter, eyes closed but mind restless. I’d been reading. Worrying. Resting my eyes more than actually sleeping. Daniel. His father. My exes. Studies. My father and his family. Mostly, the awkwardness awaits me when I return to university.
