Summer's Point of View
The atmosphere was becoming more and more difficult to handle and it was causing me to lose my breath. With neither side willing to back down, I was uncertain how to alleviate the mounting tension.
“Mister Turner, there’s no need for us to reach that point. Let me assure you we had no intentions of hurting Summer. Moreover, we don’t even hold her responsible for the incident. According to Hailey, she didn’t push her; Summer jumped into the pool on her own—”
Harvey interrupted Amby, “And what person in their right mind would jump into a pool in freezing water in this weather?” I sensed Harvey’s sincerity in wanting to help me out.
“I understand your concern for Summer, but it’s important to consider that you may not have all the facts,” Amby said in a gentle tone.
