“Of course. I would be delighted.” She smiles widely at me. “Wonderful, it’s a plan. It’s black-tie as you probably know. I am wearing a blue ball gown. Do you have something that formal?” I am not sure why I just asked her this. Of course she does. She is always better dressed than me. Than most people for that matter. “I think I can manage that,” her eyes never leave mine. We finish up the rest of our appetizers as well as our entrees chatting about relatively benign things like my upcoming training schedule, her job and a few stories from our college days. It’s been nice getting to know one another. We decide to skip dessert, opting instead for “something sweet” at Morgan’s place. I can only imagine what she has in store for me once we arrive.
