Chapter Sixteen “Just a minute.” I took the police crime photographs and my notebook off the bureau, and stuffed them in the side drawer of my bed. I found my Colt semi-automatic and magazine, and shoved them under my bed mattress. I looked around the room. Everything was in order. I walked over and opened the door. There in the dim lit corridor stood two large blue-uniformed cops. They nodded, then both strolled in and proceeded to scan around my room. I closed the door and looked at them. Their heads turned from wall to wall – up to the ceiling and then down to the floor. I could see both these cops were young.
