Chapter 7: Good looking guy.

RECAP:

Waiter:

"Excuse me, ladies, here are your drinks. We are very sorry if it took too long, the food is still being prepared, I hope you don't mind. If you need anything, simply go to the counter and I'll assist you.

After the waiter left, Kelly thought that the teasing would no longer continue, but it did. As the two are busy teasing her, she simply smiled but she was not paying attention. Kelly looked as Mateo and his friends entered the cafe and were being assisted by a helper toward a table.

Kelly stared at the people entering the cafe. She has a straight, almost poker face. She relaxes her face as she did not want to show her admiration.

Mateo and his friends are assisted by the waiter toward a table located right across the table from Kelly and her friend's table.

Kelly thought:

"Of all the place and time, how could I see him here???" Kelly sighed with a bit of nervousness and shyness.

Waiter:

"Excuse me, ladies, here are your foods.

Kelly:

"Thank you!"

Waiter:

"Is there anything else? If there aren't any, please enjoy your meal!

As the three ate, the two couldn't help but notice the people across the table. Maya saw that Mateo is sitting there and couldn't help but tease Kelly. The three continued to joke around over the same topic but soon stopped. The conversation switched from teasing to w*****d and Mangas they are reading.

Rosy:

"I saw a really interesting story in t****k from earlier, I'm trying to look for it now," Rosy said with an encouraging tone.

Maya:

"Let me see! Is it a novel or a manga? bl?"

Maya clinging to Rosy.

Rosy:

"Yes, sis!!! It's bl and is a manga"

Kelly:

"Really!? What's the title?"

While Rosy, Maya, and Kelly talk about the stories they are reading, both juicy ones and not-so-juicy ones, red flag, and green flag characters, and how good-looking and muscular the leads are, a different story is happening at the other table.

On the other table, Mateo and his friends are busy chattering about a little something.

Friend #1:

"Did you guys order yet?"

Friend #2:

"Not yet, Does anyone wanna order? Let's just list all of our orders so they can be ordered as a whole."

Mateo:

"I'll order, what are you guys going to order?"

After listing the orders, Mateo went to the cashier to place the orders. while he orders, his friends talked about a little 'chismis' (gossip).

Friend #1:

"Hey, have you guys heard about a sophomore having a crush on Mateo?"

Friend #2:

"The one in the Pediatrics department?"

Friend #1:

"Yup!"

Friend #3:

"Can you believe that guy? Even lower-year students feast over him."

Friend #4:

"That's not something new, isn't it? I mean, the moment he set foot on the campus, almost all the girls had their eyes on him."

Friend #1:

"Well- you have a point."

Mateo:

"hey guys, what're you talking about?" Mateo said with a curious intonation as he sat on the chair.

friend #2:

"Well-- Are you aware of a sophomore having a crush on you?"

Mateo didn't reply. He simply smiled and brushed his hair back.

Friend #3:

"Gad dude, How good-looking could you be?" The guy said with a teasing tone.

Friend #5:

"Exactly! Spare us some chicks, man-!"

Mateo laughed as his friends teased him about it, he didn't care at all as he was still bothered with his studies.

Friends #1 :

"Mat, have you ever dated anyone?"

Mateo:

"I haven't dated anyone yet, why?"

Friend #1:

"Nothing man, just-- you know, wondering"

Friends #5:

"It's still very surprising that you're still single, even the most beautiful lady in the school likes you and yet you're still a single pringle"

Friend:

"Agree- I'm shocked that you haven't had tenths to hundreds of girlfriends or ex-girlfriends"

Mateo:

"come on guys, stop it-"

Mateo couldn't stop his friends from joking around about it, so he just smiled and laughed as they tell their comments of admiration towards his many admirers. He gave a positive look towards it but did not show any signs of being bothered about the thought, seeing this, his friends slowly let loose of the topic as it gradually became uninterested to talk about. Soon, their food was served and as such, the topic switched.

--------Meanwhile on Kelly, Rosy, and Maya's side--------

Maya:

"Are you guys done with your chapter 1?"

She said with a pouty look and a bit of a haggard face.

Rosy:

"Not yet!!! Writing a single sentence is already so difficult, an entire chapter 'pa kaya'???

Maya:

"So... that's a no???"

Rosy:

"Yessss!"

Kelly:

"Writing the first sentence of a paragraph is so difficult, I spent hours trying to look for the right sentence, but in the end, the word document is still empty."

Rosy:

"Haysss"

Maya:

"Anyways, let's not talk about it for now. Wanna play ML?"

Kelly and Rosy:

"Yesss, madam!!!"

The three played two classic matches. They got a bit noisy every time the battle was heated and even yelled at some point, when they do, they would say sorry and then continue. After playing, they left the cafe and went to check a plushie store they saw from a distance. The three checked some of the plushies. They saw cute teddy bears, cute milk tea plushies, and other adorable stuffed toys in different sizes and shapes. In the end, they each bought plushies before going home.

Before going home, Kelly decided to go to the restroom first. On the way there, she was thinking about the project and how she was going to start doing it. She was so busy thinking about it and was not looking at the way she was going, she continued to be lost in her thought until...

*Crash sounds*

Kelly:

"Owww!!!"

Kelly accidentally bumped into someone, she got up as quickly as possible and looked at the person she bumped into, it was Mateo. Kelly hurriedly said sorry to Mateo a few too many times with an embarrassed face.

Kelly:

"I'm so sorry! Sorry po, please forgive, I wasn't looking in the way I was going, I'm sorry!!!"

Mateo:

"Oh, it's alright, you don't have to say sorry!"

Kelly bowed 90 degrees and said sorry to Mateo one last time and hurriedly picked up the things she dropped. Without taking another clear look at the reaction of the person she said sorry to, she impatiently ran away. Mateo was then left there, staring blankly wondering what in the world just happened. Mateo thought:

"What an odd encounter," He said with a smirk and sighed look as he shakes his head slightly.
