13 Nick returned her car in the night so that when Melissa headed outside the next morning, her truck was there. Ready and waiting. When she opened the door, Melissa spotted a note on the passenger seat. ‘I did good’ it read in Nick’s crab-like handwriting. Melissa peered at the sentence long and hard before deciphering its meaning. She grinned and slipped her phone from her pocket. Quickly, she found Nick’s number and shot him a text.
