Nick caught Melissa around the waist just as she jumped forward. The woman was a spit-fire and he’d been expecting a reaction.
The minute the dots connected in her eyes, Nick geared up for some sort of explosion.

Major grinned up at Melissa who batted the hair from her eyes and glowered at him.
