She rested her head on his chest and hummed a yes. They both stayed that way unmoving till the oven timer rang.
“I have to check that”, she whispered raising her head to look at him. He unwinded his arms around her, releasing her. She took the pans carefully out of the oven. The smell of freshly baked cake and cookies filling the kitchen.
“Smells nice already”, Ade said taking a sniff. “Yeah, it sure does”.
She took out the cookies first and placed them on a small tray.
“Here”, she said handing him a plate of cookies. “Please take this to the living room”. He quickly obliged. She followed behind with some drinks in her hand.
“Good thing you have soda this time”, Ade joked remembering the beer incident.
