Two

Eric's POV: "She has passed away, dear." One of the local landlords said when I asked around about my old landlady. "I'm sorry." I muttered as I recalled her kindness to me. I left the building. I don't have enough cash to even call a cab. I checked my wallet, but there was no money in it. There was nowhere else for me to go. I'm still unable to return home. When my parents discovered I was gay two years ago, they shunned me. They still had a hard time accepting that it was a normal trait. I was taken in by the landlady, who became like family to me, but now I feel alone once more. River had gone, and my landlady also had departed. "Hey, you alone?" I heard someone who approached me His appearance was sober. He did, however, appear to be younger than me. He's most likely a university senior. "Wanna go somewhere and get a drink?" I'm sure he's trying to hit on me, but I'm too weary to pay attention. I simply nodded. ************************* "A blood & sand and a mojito for the man right here." The man who had brought me muttered, and the bartender began mixing drinks. I kept my mouth shut. "Oh, I am Ercel. And you?" He was attempting to strike up a conversation with me, but I was still dazed. Nonetheless, he continued to talk. "Well, it's my first time being here in a place like this." He gave an uneasy laugh. I took a sip from my drink. This kid is obvious. "I am sorry, are you bored? Do you not like it?" He asked almost panicking He's is also pretty self-conscious. Probably he came out to everyone recently. "Vodka." I muttered "Huh? Oh yes!" Ercel promptly asked for vodka shots from the bartender, but he was twirling his straw in his cocktail The bartender gave me 2 shots and it didn't take me much time to gulp them "So tell me something about yourself." He asked, his face gleaming. I know he's trying his hardest to communicate with me, but I'm simply not in the appropriate frame of mind. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any cash on me. Are you able to cover the cost of the booze?" I asked "Yes? Oh sure. Don't be concerned about it. I was the one who brought you here. It's all on me tonight." He almost jumped "Cool." I muttered something uninteresting and ended up downing 7 shots of vodka while entirely ignoring Ercel. I was beginning to feel sorry for the young man. Why did I come here in the first place? I need to find a place to live, and I'm also looking for work. As I stood up, I sighed. "I need to go to the restroom." He smiled and nodded. I was walking sideways when I realized how heavy my head was. I was in a daze. Damn! Why do I drink in the first place? I was on my way to the restroom. I'm going to have to wash my face. Damn! I'm sure I'll wake up with a hangover the next morning. I feel so sick. But I came to a halt when I heard a couple arguing. The woman slapped the man "You just f*****g used me! You are the worst ever!" The man was breathtakingly attractive. He was dressed formally in a neat black suit, with the most exquisite jawline I'd ever seen, jet black curls, and dark yet shining black eyes. A deep voice, tanned skin, and a muscular figure with a little beard. He was trying to fix his watch while disregarding the fact that he had just been slapped. Shameless. "Why did you do it?" The woman asked as she grabbed his collar "I needed you to get what I wanted. Isn't that simple?" His eyes were dead and he had a blank expression "You cheated me. You lied to me!" The woman cried out loud Okay, I know it's none of my concern, but I'm sitting here listening to the whole thing. All I'm doing is comparing these two to River and myself, which is making me irritated with that man. The woman was pleading for a response, but the male remained indifferent. They are all the same. People like this should simply vanish to another planet where they can admire aliens for their arrogance. Son of a b***h! The next thing I know, I'm furious and my head is in immense pain. In his handling of the woman, the man has made a mistake. She put her faith in him, but he betrayed her. Now, the man had viciously shoved the woman away and is fixing his suit as he walks away. The woman who collapsed on the ground is in tears. This is it! No! My inner voice interrupted No! Don't! Eric Don't do it! Don't! My shoe landed on the man's head when I threw it at him. "Ugh!" The man was forced to turn around to see who it was I was speechless. So, what was I thinking when I did that? I could have simply kept my head down and done my own f*****g thing. I DID NOT just throw a shoe at a random passerby. Fuck! It's all down to the booze! "Did you just throw your shoe at me?" He yelled, startling me. I was now entirely sober. However, it was too late. He'd already grabbed my collar. "Oh. I'm so drunk." I faked "You are NOT!" His eyes were darker than before "The shoe flew!" His anger increased even more Okay, I did not just say that. "Oh, look another shoe's flying." I said, pointing behind him, and he returned the stare. I tried to flee, but he caught me by the waist and tightened his grasp even more. "I'm going to report you to the manager. You should be banned as a customer! Apologize to me, right now!" He shouted in my ear. I think I just went deaf. "Are you listening to me?" He roared once more, but my head hurts and I'm dizzy. My stomach feels weird. Eric, don't do it! No! No! Fuck! "What the?" He let me go at once when I threw up on his expensive suit He was shocked. But I didn't waste any time and dashed away as quickly as I could. I could still hear him yelling curses at me. Today sucks!
