First meet

I was human once. Life was simple, easy. All I had to worry about was what my friends were likely to decide to do that night. Half the time they liked to go to a club, drink too much, occasionally end up in some random strangers' bed. I would tag along sometimes because otherwise I’d end up being on my own, depressed and wishing I had joined them. That was before I was forced to leave. I couldn’t stay with them given what I’d been changed into. I was afraid. Afraid I’d lose control. Afraid I’d kill them You see the last night I went out with them I met a guy. A guy who seemed different. He was sweet, charming, attractive and let's not forget Vampire. Though I didn’t find out the last one till later, after we’d left the club. When I’d ended up in an alleyway with my back to the wall and his teeth in his neck. He told me he wanted to give me a chance at something more. Something I’d probably thank him for, eventually. When I woke up, I was in a bed. Everything seemed unusually bright, and loud. He was staring at me. “Your awake,” His first words as I opened my eyes. He looked almost concerned. I nearly climbed the wall to get away from him as he watched me. I was scared as I remembered what had happened in the alleyway. “I won’t hurt you. Your safe.” I didn’t trust my own voice enough to open my mouth. He looked a thousand time more attractive now than he did in the club. I glanced around the room, there was a window, it was still dark out though I couldn’t tell if it was the same night. I ran for the window, breaking it, I fell through suddenly realising it wasn’t on the ground floor. Oh, it was the second floor I remember thinking as I hit the ground a moment later. I look up to see him at the window, watching, almost as if to see what I’d do or to check if I was ok. The second my eyes meet his I feel sparks and as I watch he jumps. I’m on my feet running as soon as his feet leave the ledge. I run from the building across a field which seems to go on for miles, it feels like forever before I hit a treeline and I slow. Not much just enough that I don’t run face-first into a tree. I can’t hear anything but my own footfalls, my own laboured breathing. *Smack* I bounce back and land on my ass off what I believe to be a tree. It’s him. I get up to run again, but once I’m up he grabs my arm. Electric sparks from where his skin meets mine and he pushes me against a tree and holds me there. “I told you, your safe and you still run from me. I just found you and your scared of me.” He sounds angry and hurt, but I can’t believe what he’s just said. “Just found me? You attacked me!” He looks shocked by this almost as if surprised by the way I see it or just the fact that I spoke. Though to be fair he could have given me a choice maybe tried to get to know me first. Then I felt it. A gnawing at my throat burning through my body. I start to fight to get away from him, from the pain. He takes both my hands in one of his and loops his other arm around my waist lifting me off the ground. Before, I could ask what he was doing he was off, running. Running at a much fast speed than I could ever hope to reach. A few seconds later I saw the building I’d just escaped from. As we approached, I felt him jump and we, as best I can describe it, flew in through the now broken window. He put me down and dragged me, as I struggled to get away, toward a mini fridge and pulled out a bag of red liquid. He lifted it to his mouth and pierced it with a fang, fangs, filling the room with the most delicious smell. He held it towards me and let go of my hands. I grabbed it, brought it to my lips and drained it within seconds. As I drank the pain started to subside till it was barely more than a dull ache. I looked at the bag, realising I hadn’t even thought of what it could be that I had just drank cause the bag looked like a blood bag. I threw a surprised look at my kidnapper. “I have seen a few that have been turned experience their first hunger, though I barely remember the pain myself.” He comments casually. “Turned?” The question in my voice surprises even me as I already know what the answer would be, but it’s like I need him to confirm it. “Into a vampire. There is so much interest in vampires and other supernatural creatures now. Most who turn realise what’s happened instantly.” He looked at me with a confused expression. “Turned many yourself then?” I ask more than a little annoyed that I wasn’t asked first particularly if he’d turned others cause he more than likely would have asked them before turning them. “No, actually you’re my first and will, hopefully, be my only.” That stunned me. I suddenly had a million questions without knowing what to ask first. He lifted his hand to cup my cheek. “Mine,” I heard his whisper though, it was so faint I wasn’t even sure he had said it other than his lips moving. He inched closer until I could feel his breath fanning my face. I put my hand on his chest to stop him.
