The next couple of weeks passed without much note. JV slowly moved most of her things to Steve"s place, filling his closet and drawers. She"d even taken to stealing his tee shirts, not that he seemed to mind. He’d been taking her into town twice a week to see Karen, though she didn"t need him to sit through the sessions with her anymore. She"d spent every night with him and had only had a few nightmares wake her. She was glad she"d stopped shifting and hiding. Instead she woke Steve. He held her, calmed her and reassured her until she felt safe enough to go back to sleep.
Now it was less than two weeks until Christmas. She"d done most of her shopping online but she wanted to look for a few things in town. "You don"t have to take me to my appointment this afternoon," she said to Steve one
