Living room seating was somewhat limited, they didn"t often have so many people in the house at the same time. There was only one seat left so Steve led Jade over, sat and pulled her onto his lap. Matt frowned at him, but he was the only one to react.
"So you"ve surprised us, now what?" he asked, not particularly pleased at having been ambushed.
"Now we get to spend the holidays together." his mother said with a happy smile.
"I really wish you"d called first." he said, his voice almost a growl.
"If I"d called you, you would have said no." She was right, he would have.
Steve looked at Matt. He was still frowning, though not at him anymore. "This is your doing, isn"t it?"
"Who?" His frown turned to a guilty grin. "Me?"
"Yes, you. Who else would have had the balls to spring this on me?
