Chapter 25Ace slept on the couch again. This time it had nothing to do with Cora. She decided to sleep at her own house this time. He stayed by the window waiting for Arya to return. Her and her partner were both out. He didn"t fully trust Beau.
Arya got home late in the morning so did her partner. He hated to think that for hours another man had been touching her. Her body belonged to him, it always had that"s why destiny reunited them.
There was a knock at the door. It prompted Ace to get up. He stretched and cracked his bones, to help sooth the knots in his back. The knocking turned to pounding.
"I"m coming!" He called. "Damn it," he said when he tripped and stumbled to the door.
He didn"t bother to check. He yanked the door open.
