Chapter 13Ace arrived home in the early hours of the morning so no one would notice he was gone. Only Dash ever noticed, though he chose not to ask questions. He knew he wouldn't get any. He'd been going that a lot since he started a relationship with Arya. She was the safest place he never knew existed, but the most dangerous place to be.
When he went down for breakfast, his father was gone and his brother was no where in sight. The house was eerily quiet.
Veronica was outside sat in front of a plate of untouched food and fruit. She heard her son and summoned him.
"Sit," she ordered.
The situation had caution written all over it. He sat in front of his mom. He waited until she sat up and straightened her back then spoke.
