Chapter 15He hadn't seen her in a day. He couldn't talk to his brother. He resented his mother and he could barely look his father in the eye. The house and his life were upside down. The only person he knew could sooth him, he had chosen to stay away from. He knew his mother had spies. He had to stay away from her for her own safety.
Arya was stronger than he thought and that gave him a small portion of peace. He had to let her know that they couldn't continue, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her why. The reasons just seemed to mount on him. He couldn't even tell Dash what he had discovered.
Dash wasn't home anyway. He saw his mother on his way out. He didn't want to talk to her, he tried to escape, but Veronica was too quick. She beckoned him to the kitchen.
