THE STUDY PART 1 -MAYA POV~ Breakfast was hell, not torture. Hell, after Chloe returned back to the kitchen while Silas text message was still burning in my mind. I couldn't swallow, every bite of pancake turned to sawdust the second Silas looked at me. And he kept looking every time Chloe scrolled through her phone, his eyes dragged over me like hands, like he was remembering exactly how i tasted. My thigh clenched under the table, my body remembered too. "Maya, you are not eating." Chloe frowned at my full plate. "Are you sick? You look flushed" Because your father had his face between my legs last night and i can still feel his tongue and worst his text messages were even bad that just thinking about it makes me wet. "Just tired," I lied. "didnt sleep well." "You should nap after breakfast." Chloe went back to her phone. "i am reorganizing my suitcase anyway. I overpacked." "Good idea." Silas set his coffee down. The sound cracked through the kitchen. "Maya, before you do that, i need you in my study." My fork clattered against my plate. "Paperwork?" Chloe didn't even look up. "Dad, you are such a workaholic." "Empire does not build itself." His eyes locked on mine, dark, hungry, promising things that made my pulse spike between my legs. "Maya, five minute.' It was not a request. "Okay," I whispered. He walked out and I watched him go, my heart slamming hard in my chest like it was going to explode. "Well go on." Chloe waved me off. "Sooner you help him, sooner he stop being grumpy." I stood on shaking legs, carried my plate to the sink. My hands were shaking so badly i almost dropped it. "Maya?" I froze at the sound of Chloe voice. "yeah?" "You sure you are okay? You are acting really weird." I forced a smile. "I am fine. Promise." i walked out before she could ask anything else. The west wing felt darker, like the air itself knew what was about to happen once i step into that room. Second door on the left, i stopped in front of it. The door was cracked open just an inch, clearly an invitation or maybe a trap, but i pushed it opened anyway. The study was huge, bookshelves floor to ceiling. Stone fireplace crackling and in the center, behind a huge desk, sat Silas. He leaned back in his chair, ankle crossed over his knee, looking every inch the king in his castle. He was not even looking at his laptop, he was looking at me. "Close the door, Maya." I f*****g hesitated. "I. said. Close. The door." I reached behind me, pushed it shut, the latch clicked like a cell door locking. "lock it." My breath caught. "Silas...." "Lock it."His voice dropped low, full of pure command. I turned the lock, my hand shook. "Good girl." Those two words sent heat flooding between thighs. I pressed my back against the door, needing the support. Silas did not move, he just sat there, watching, studying me like i was a problem he solving. "Come here." I stayed where i was, God help me if i actually dare to move. "We need to talk about last night." "We will. After you come here." "I am serious. What we did...." "Was the best thing that's happened to me in years." he leaned forward, elbows on the desk. "now stop stalling and come. Here." I walked towards him, legs like jelly. I stopped in front of the desk, keeping it between us like a wall. "Closer." "I am close enough." "Mava." he said my name like a warning. "I am not going to ask to ask again." I walked around his desk, my heart in my throat. He turned his chair to face me, spread his leg. "Sit." "sorry...but where exactly?" He patted his thigh, my eyes widened. "Silas, i can't..." "You can, and you will. Unless you want to use your safe word." "I do not have a safe word," I stammered. "Then pick one. Now." I stared at him. "What?" "A safe word, Maya. One word that means stop everything immediately. Because we are past the point of no meaning no. Last night proved that. You said no and stop at least a dozen times, but you did not mean it. Did you?" My face burned, he was right, i had protested but hadn't wanted him to actually stop. "so pick a word," he continued. "Something you would never say during s*x. If you say that word, i stop. Immediately. No questions asked." "Red," I whispered. "Red." He nodded. "Good. Simple, clear, if you say red, this end. But anything else?" His eyes gleamed. "Anything else is just noise." He patted his thigh again. "Now sit." I moved forward, my body obeying before my brain caught up. I perched on his lap, stiff and awkward, trying not to put my full weight on him. His gripped my hips and yanked me back, setting me firmly against him. I felt every hard inch of him beneath me. "Relax." his lips brushed my ear. "You are so tensed." "you are impossible." "I am in control love. There is a difference." his hand settled on my thigh possessive, the other wrapped around my waist, holding me in place. "Now. Let's talk about last night." "Okay," I whispered. "Do you regret it?" "No." "Good" his hand squeezed my thigh. " like i told you in the kitchen, i also did not regret it. But we need rules." "Rules?" "Rules. Because this—" he shifted his hips, letting me feel exactly what he meant. "—isn't stopping. I tried to stay away, Maya. I gave you an out. you did not take it. So now we do this my way." "What way is that?" "My way means you belong to me." He said it simply. Like it was already decide. "When we are alone, you do what i say. You wear what i tell you to wear. You come when i tell you to come. And you don't question me. Understood?" I should have been offended, i should have told him to go to hell. Instead, wetness pooled between my thighs. My n*****s hardened against my turtleneck sweater, my pulse spiked in the throat. "What if i say no?" I challenged weakly. "then you say red, and this ends." His hand slid higher up my thigh. "But you are not going to say red. Are you?" "No," I admitted. "Why not?" I close my eyes and bite my lower lip. "Because i want this." "Say it properly." "I want you. I want to belong to you." He groaned, his grip tightened. "f**k, Maya. You are going to destroy me." his phone buzzed on the desk. He glanced at it and cursed under his breath. "What?" I asked. "Conference call. Starting in thirty seconds." "Then i should...." I tried to stand. He held me in place. "Stay." "Silas, you have a work call..." "I said stay." He grabbed a Bluetooth earpiece from the desk and fitted it into his ear. Tapped it twice. "This is King."
