A fist slammed down on the metal surface of the table as Gold eyes glared into grey. The color was vibrant and swirled with anger as they stared at the stone faced woman, a freshly healed scar jagged against her face.
"You...fail? After the power I gave you and your lackeys?" The man, despite the rage in his eyes, spoke eerily calm.
The blonde woman cleared her throat despite the pressure of the demon's aura was enough to make her reconsider the job.
She supposed this is what she gets for going against her code of conduct and working with the very thing she hunts, especially when it was a high powered one who could kill them without a second thought. She was just glad that the girl they were after was just a baby demon otherwise they most likely wouldn't have made it out alive.
