The letter arrived on a Tuesday, three weeks after Leo had graduated from Crestmont University.
He found it wedged between a pizza flyer and an electric bill, the envelope thick and cream-colored, with a return address that made his heart stop: Westbrook High School Athletic Department.
He opened it with shaking hands.

We have watched your career with great interest. Your accomplishments as a player—three state championships, three national championships, All-American honors—speak for themselves.
