“Due to budget shortfalls, we are recommending the elimination of the boys' volleyball program at Westbrook High School,” Superintendent Reynolds said, his voice flat, his eyes on his notes. “The program has been expensive to maintain. Travel costs. Equipment. Coaching salaries. We believe the funds would be better allocated to academic programs.”
