FIVE YEARS LATER Five years. One thousand, eight hundred and twenty-five days. Every single day was spent in agony. Every single hour was filled with training that pushed me beyond the limits of human—or wolf—endurance. I learned to fight with weapons. I learned to fight barehanded. I learned to manipulate energy, to control the elements, and to tap into the ancient power sleeping within my DNA. There were days when my muscles were so torn I couldn't move. There were nights when I screamed into my pillow, haunted by the memories of my children. But every time I felt like giving up, I thought of Kaelen’s face. I thought of Valeria’s laugh. And I stood up again. Pain became my friend. Suffering became my teacher. And today... it was finally done. I stood in front of the full-length mirror in my private chambers. The woman staring back at me was almost unrecognizable. Gone was the pale, timid, and ragged wife. In her place stood a figure of absolute perfection and deadly grace. My skin was now flawless, glowing with an inner radiance. My facial features were sharp and stunning, beautiful enough to make the stars jealous, yet carrying a cold, dangerous edge. My hair was long, thick, and black as ink, cascading down my back like a waterfall of darkness. But it was my eyes that had changed the most. They were no longer soft or brown. They were now a striking, vibrant silver, glowing faintly with power. And within that silver, there were flecks of deep, burning red. The mark of the True Alpha. The mark of the Goddess. I stretched out my hand, and just by my will, the objects in the room began to float. The air around me crackled with static electricity. My aura was so dense now that it could paralyze an entire army just by being present. I was strong. I was beautiful. I was complete. A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. "Your Highness," a voice spoke respectfully from outside. "Everything is ready. The carriage is waiting. And Alpha Ryan is ready to escort you." I took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of power and revenge. I turned around and walked towards the wardrobe. My fingers traced over the fabrics until I found the one I wanted. A gown made of the finest silk, colored in the deepest shade of blood red. It hugged my curves perfectly, elegant yet screaming danger. I put it on. I adorned myself with silver jewelry that matched my eyes. "Kaelen... Valeria..." I whispered to my reflection, a cold, merciless smile forming on my lips. "Enjoy your wedding day. Because it is going to be the last day of happiness you will ever know." I opened the door. "Let's go," I said. "It is time to go home." (To be continued...)
