When I wake up the next morning, it’s after nine, and I don’t feel rested even though I know I managed to get a few hours of sleep in. I dread having to face Dad and Craig, and I seriously contemplate calling my mother to tell her I’m coming home early. But that would raise all kinds of suspicion, and she would interrogate the hell out of me. Why don’t you want to stay? What happened? What did your father do? Did something happen with Craig?
