I look up at the sky outside the patio, its evening already I was feeling bad,if I hadn't told mom I wanted to get that stupid aquarium maybe she would be here with me now handing me a mug of hot chocolate telling me my hair looks a mess,I need to brush it.remembering them brought tears to my eyes, hot tears rolled down my eyes as they dropped on my laps, something happened, it looked as if I was electrified, a feeling coursed through me,now, this was strange.I looked around to see if anyone saw me,coast clear no one was here. I stood up and decided to apply for any decent job so I could pay the house rent. It isn't going to be easy but I will try my best. I scan my wardrobe and pick out a decent gown and by sweater, odd, yeah I know.I dress to feel comfortable not to look pretty. The manager of the restaurant i applied for,Mrs Barnes calls me in to her office. "so why do u want this job,u look kinda too young" she says to me,umm,my mom died recently,so I have to do things for myself,I have to pay the landlady too",I tell her. "Oh no,that's sad to hear,am sorry" "here we go again I say in my mind, don't pity me, I need the job and money" "no,its okay",I say putting on a fake smile. " u know what honey, why don't u live with me,I have a daughter who might be your age, what do u think "? I look at her and smiled, definitely this lady is God-sent. " thanks,I'd like that",I say watching my knuckles grow white from excitement I'm so lucky
