The party

I rode with Trevor on his bike and it felt really good. The wind blew my hair in different directions, I was happy I agreed to go on a walk with him,well this wasn't a walk literally. He park his bike at the beach.

We walked down to the shore,I looked on as the waves came at us then rolling back. Trevor started to talk, "I'm sorry I was rude to you the other day" he told me genuinely. I was taken aback by his apology, partly because all the students says he's arrogant and rude,I kinda agreed with that too.

I wrapped my hands around myself,I was starting to catch cold. He noticed it.

"here take my Jacket" Trevor offered.

I took it and smiled at him. If only the whole school knew he was this soft hearted.

As we walked to the where his bike was,he suddenly stopped and turned to me "Alexa,you are beautiful". I was swooned by his words I couldn't help the blush that crept up my cheeks.

I got down from his bike," thanks for the ride,Trevor." I said smiling.

He walked up to me,his face inches apart from mine, I knew he wanted to kiss me.I closed my eyes in anticipation but was brought back to reality when he tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. My face flashed with hurt,I was so angry I had made a fool of myself, I walked to the front door about turning the knob when he called back my name, maybe he wanted to Kiss me back. I turned back.

"Yes,u want something" I asked.

"Nope,its just that my helmet is still on your head" he said plainly.

"yeah,sure I was about to give it to you" I said stupidly.

Good night Alexa" he said trying to stifle a laugh.

"Night."

My stupid alarm rang loudly thereby giving me a fright.

I stood up,walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower.

I was blow drying my hair when a text popped on my home screen,it was from an unknown number.

"Alexa,why aren't you in your mother's house". This text shook me internally,who this could be. I texted back immediately.

" Who are you?

A reply came immediately.

"You do not need to know who I am, its irrelevant".

I texted back. " I could give your number to the police "

"Alexandra April Valentine,I wouldn't advise you to do that".

The phone fell down from my hands after I read the text,whoever was texting knew me so well.

My head throbbed, my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth,I felt sick.

I told Lydia and her daughter about it,Lydia was as shocked as I was but Christiana kept mute giving no expression whatsoever. Lydia promised to check the number up at the police department and assured me everything was okay. I slept that night with an eye opened just incase someone barged in to kidnap me.

It was a new week and the fears of what happened had left me.

Trevor and his friends were going to have a party tonight,I was informed at school.

I got home earlier than usual searching for the best outfit I could put on to the party. My wardrobe was so boring,the clothes in there were stupid for a party.

I went to get a drink from the fridge when the phone rang thereby making me spill some of the drink on my shirt.

I picked it up." hello is this Alexa? the voice asked? I was unsure of what to say because I didn't know who it was on the other line.I decided to answer with a question too. "who is speaking?.

" hey,its me Lydia,I heard there is going to be a part tonight so I want you to take my credit card and go get yourself a nice dress.,its in my drawer. bye" with that said she hung up.

I was so glad,I placed the receiver and rushed to her room to get the credit card. I searched the drawers for it then finally saw it in the last drawer, I was about taking my leave when I noticed a brown dusty box with tapes sealing it. I wondered what could be inside. I decided to open it but stopped when I heard footsteps and voices from the sitting room. I ran my way downstairs to see Olivia and Christiana with shopping bags.

"What's up,Lexi"Olivia asked.

"nothing much,I was just about taking my leave to go shopping.

" nope,do not worry about that, I got you a dress and heels" Christiana piped. I was in love with what I saw,she got me a red knee length gown with thin hand straps.

I sat down while Olivia did my hair,Christiana gave my hair a redo,I do not really fancy make up but the girls weren't having it. I was finally ready after 30 mins of sitting down.

I loved the girl I saw in the mirror. I looked really good.

We hopped into Olivia's car,Christiana drived us down to Trevor's. The streets were booming with music,I saw a barbecue drill, drink pong,I saw couples sitting outside with drinks in hand. Olivia and Christiana had left me alone for something else, I worked my way through people that were mostly drunk.

I sighted Trevor with a girl that wrapped her hands around him,they seemed like they were plundering each others butt,gosh it sickened me.

He pushed the girl away from him and started to work towards me. I left the spot I was and quickened my pace. I felt tears sting the corners of my eyes,f**k why was I crying its not like I'm his girlfriend or something. I heard him call my name frantically.

"Alexa,Alexa wait for me" he yelled as he ran to me. he caught up with me and turned me around to face him,I lowered my face so he wouldn't see my tears streaked face. he raised my chin up and cleaned the corners of my eyes.

"hey,what's wrong? he asked me. " nothing,I just felt a nauseated " I lied.

"Nausea made you cry?" he asked me jokingly.

I giggled. "I'm sorry for being a dork" I told him.

"Its okay,Alexa,I'm your friend and I'd always be" he told me as he pulled me into an hug.

friends? just friends, I thought to myself.

"Sure,I know" I told him putting up a fake smile. We walked back to the house together. I danced and let the groove engulf me.

I woke up the next morning with an headache, I felt sick. I shouldn't have had so much alcohol. I searched my purse for a painkiller and found some, I popped two tablets into my mouth and flushed them down with water.
