Alpha Nicholas’s POV
I sat at my desk, trying to focus on the papers in front of me. The pen was in my hand, poised, ready to mark down the necessary details, but my mind kept wandering. I had tried for the past hour to get through the reports, but it was impossible. The words in front of me didn’t make sense anymore. Every so often, I could feel her presence in the room. Tiara had been sitting in the study for what felt like an eternity, undeterred by my silence.
Every now and then, I could feel her eyes on me, even if I wasn’t looking directly at her. It wasn’t as though she was staring, but her attention was there and I couldn’t ignore it. I couldn’t ignore her.
Roy, my wolf, was far from quiet. He was amused, far too entertained by my internal struggle.
