By the time I returned to my room, my entire body ached. I could feel the light throbbing on my temple and my hand shook when I held them out.
The day had been long. I had scrubbed floors, cleaned the dining hall, dusted shelves, and ensured every corner of the pack house was spotless. I had done everything Luna Victoria expected of me—and most importantly, I had stayed out of sight. From what I knew, Alpha Nicholas was still very much in the pack.
