Tiara's POV I jerked awake to the sound of howls. Not the usual howls of my packmates patrolling the borders. These were different—louder, more vicious. I sat up, my heart pounding against my ribs. Outside, chaos erupted. Growls, snapping jaws, and the desperate shouts of warriors filled the night air. Mia stirred in my mind. Something is wrong. I scrambled to my feet. The shed door rattled as heavy footsteps pounded the ground outside. I reached for the old wooden plank I sometimes used to keep the door shut, but before I could secure it, the door was pushed open.
