CHAPTER 19

Sky: "Did you call his family?"

Sabrina: "I called, but they refused to come."

Sky: "Ok, make preparations for his funeral." After saying this, he started to look at the house. The funeral timing was at night. All the time, he spent it while looking at the house where he used to be happy with him and how he was here for his funeral. This thought was enough to make him burst into tears. After the funeral, he called Kim Shine.

Sky: "Where are you?"

K.Shine: "Outside of the house."

Sky: "I am coming. I want to go back."

He does not want to, but he was feeling like this building was going to kill him. On their way, K.Shine kept on talking with him, but he was just listening to him. When he entered the huge building, he went to his room before anyone could ask him anything. He came and took off his shirt and laid on the bed and tried his best to sleep. But this night was very hard on him.After some time, K.Shine came and laid on his back, on the other side of the bed, and asked him.

K.Shine: "Do you want a hug?"

Sky looked at him, his eyes were still filled with tears. While holding onto his tears, he nodded for yes and hugged him tightly, and after some time, he fell asleep. K.Shine looked at him and said in his mind:

A small, lonely boy who loved everyone except himself.

In the morning, when Sky woke up, K.Shine was not in the room. He got up and wore his shirt, hung his bag at his back, and came out. He was about to leave the huge building when K.Shine called him.

K.Shine: "Where are you going?"

Sky: "At the store."

K.Shine: "Why are you asking me?"

K.Shine: "Do you want me to come with you?"

Sky: "If you want, you can."

K.Shine: "Are you comfortable?"

Sky: "Yes."

K.Shine: "Ok, wait. Let me take some money." He went outside, inside, and came back with the money.

K.Shine: "Let's go."They both went. While taking gimbap, Sky felt like he saw someone known at the corner of the storeSky: "No, you can go. I will come back by myself."

K.Shine: "Why? What happened?"

Sky: "I said leave."

K.Shine: "Yes, sure."

(Sky went to the man he looked at, but there was no one there. So, he felt like it was the game of his mind. But when he came outside, he got stunned. He saw someone he used to know very closely. He saw John standing outside of the store. John also stopped for 2 minutes, then he smiled at Sky. Sky could not believe that he saw John. He went towards him and grabbed his hand.)

Sky: "Is that you, John?"

John: "What are you doing here? Why are you crying?" (Sky began to cry.)

John: "Come with me."

(They both went towards the parking area. Sky does not know in which car he was sitting in; he just knew that he sat with John.)

John: "What happened? Why are you crying?"Sky: "I just—just missed you."

John: "Then why are you crying?"

Sky: "I don't know."

John: "Do you want water?"

Sky: "No. How did you survive? I saw you being buried with my eyes."

John: "The person you saw being buried was not me; he saw my friend."

Sky: "But how? And how did you survive?"

John: "My dad... he was the reason behind the fire in the car. He failed the brakes of my car. But when our car was under—on fire, I jumped into the river under the bridge. And you all thought that I had died. I went back, but dad told me that he had killed you and I can't do anything. In anger, I hit his head on the wall and he died."

Sky: "I am glad that you are fine."John: "Who was the other person with you?"

Sky: "He is my friend. Where are you living right now?"

John: "You want me to show you?"

Sky: "Yes, sure."

John: "Ok. It is at a distance of about 15 minutes."

(John started the engine of his car and started to drive. About 15 minutes later, they were in front of the apartment. They were on the 11th floor. John knocked on the door.)

Sky: "Is there anyone inside?"

John: "Yes."

Sky: "Who?"

John: "You will see."In the meantime, someone came and opened the door. They went inside. A small life came towards John while laughing and saying:

Girl: "Appa, you are back! Appa." (John lifted her.)

John: "Yes, your appa is back. Sky, meet her. She is my daughter, Yeji." (Sky shaked hands with her and pretended like he is okay, but it was hurting him. After some time, John's wife appeared from the room.)

John: "Darling, come out. He is my friend, Sky. Sky, she is my wife."

Sky: "Hello!"

John: "Go in that room. I am coming."

Sky: "Ok." (Sky went towards it. After some time, John also entered.)

John: "Why are you standing?"

Sky: "My boss is calling me. So, I am leaving. I will come back some other time."John: "At least give me your number."

Sky: "It is the same as before."

(Sky came in his room. His eyes were filled with tears. He sat on the bed and started to think about his past. While he was thinking, someone entered. Sky looked at him. He was Kim Shine. Kim Shine looked at him with shocked eyes.)

K.Shine: "If you want to cry, I can leave."

Sky: "I can cry even if you are in the room."

K.Shine: "What happened? How was that person you went with?"

Sky: "I don't know. I just wanted to talk to him. That's why I went towards him."

K.Shine: "So, did he talk with you?"Sky: "No, he did not." (and started crying)

Sky: "I asked him so much to stay with me, but he did not listen." (Kim Shine came and sat with Sky.)

K.Shine: "Do you know him?"

Sky: "No..." (He started to cry out loud.)

Sky: "Kim, why is everyone like this? They make promises, but then they don't even remember them. Why? Why are they like this?" (Kim Shine made his head rest on his chest. Sky was still crying.)

K.Shine: "Stop crying. It is not going to make any change in them."

Sky: "But I just can't understand, if they can't fulfill their promises, then why do they even make promises?" (Kim Shine comforted him and asked if he had eat anything.)

K.Shine: "What did you eat in breakfast?"

Sky: "I did not eat anything."K.Shine: "Let's go outside and eat anything."

Sky: "I don't want to go anywhere."

K.Shine: "Not even with me?"

Sky: "I don't want to..."

K.Shine: "Just get up." (He forced Sky to come with him. They went outside. On their way back...)

K.Shine: "Are you still not going to tell me who was the person you went with?"

Sky: "He was... promise me you will not talk about him with anyone."

K.Shine: "Ok, I will not." (Sky told him everything about his past, and this way, they started to spend so much time with each other. Sky was outside, then it means thatKim Shine was also with him.

One day, they were coming back.

K.Shine: "Sky, did you notice that everything has changed?"

Sky: "How?"

K.Shine: "You are recovering. You have started to smile again."

Sky: "Yes."

K.Shine: "Can I do something?"

Sky: "What?"

(K.Shine stopped for a minute. Sky also stopped.)

Sky: "What happened?"

(K.Shine moved his hand and grabbed his hand.)

K.Shine: "Can I hold your hands?"

(Sky nodded for yes. And they both came to their room.)
