CHAPTER 8

His father's secretary called and informed Sky that he would be coming back tomorrow. Relieved to have a bit of peace, Sky spent a lovely, quiet day by himself.

The next morning, Sky woke up and turned on the television, which was broadcasting a shocking breaking news report.

The reporter announced, "A car was found burned on the bridge. Three dead bodies are found in the car. The dead bodies are out of recognition."

Sky was listening to the broadcast while casually preparing breakfast for himself when the details suddenly shifted.

The reporter continued, "The number plate of the car is IDL 437."

Hearing those numbers, Sky's hands stopped moving completely. It was the exact number plate of their car. He forced himself to listen again, paying close attention to make sure, and yes, it was definitely their car. Instantly, his forehead became covered in sweat, his hands began to shiver violently, and his whole world started spinning. Panicking, he grabbed his coat and immediatelyrushed out the door to go and check what had happened.it was their car or not. When he finally reached the scene, he checked all the evidence and confirmed that it was indeed their car, but John was nowhere to be seen.

Sky asked anxiously, "Did you find any person in this car?"

The manager replied, "Yes. Three dead bodies." At those words, Sky's entire body started to shiver uncontrollably.

Sky pressed on, "Are they dead?"

The manager confirmed sadly, "Yes. These bodies were all burn, we can't recognize them."

Sky pleaded, "Can you show me dead bodies?"

The manager agreed, saying, "Yes." Sky followed the manager as he took him directly into a cold room. When he entered, he saw three dead bodies lying in a row. He checked the first one and felt a slight sense of relief, but when he looked at the second body, his eyes instantly teared up. It was John, his dead boy. His entire face was severely burned, making it incredibly hard for anyone else to recognize him. With heavy, teary eyes, Sky turned to the manager.

Sky sobbed,"I know him. Can I take him?"

The manager explained, "We have to check out for some details. Come with me."

Sky nodded weakly, "Yes."

After completing the paperwork and answering questions for some details, he was finally allowed to take John with him. When he arrived back home carrying the body, his father was already inside the house, looking visibly tense. Sky entered the room and looked over at him with John's body resting on his back.

Sky said coldly, "Here is your son. Arrange his funeral tomorrow."

While gently laying John down on the sofa, Sky left his father, who simply stared blankly at John. Sky then turned away and headed straight towards a bench out in the lawn.Next day, at 10:00 a.m., it was John's funeral. Everyone was crying except Sky, who just stood in a corner, silently thinking about all the times he had spent with John.

After two weeks, Sky was in his room doing some chores when he suddenly heard a weird sound, like something hitting an iron object. He stood up and went outside to investigate, but just as he was about to open the door, his father suddenly barged in. Sky looked at him and saw that his dad's eyes were completely bloodshot. Looking visibly drunk, his father pushed him onto the bed, leaned over him, and began kissing him. He ended up spending the entire night with Sky.

Many weeks passed in this miserable manner. In the beginning, his father was merely harassing him, but one day, his father took him out for dinner and unexpectedly proposed to him. Sky was deeply shocked and had absolutely no desire to accept, but he had no other choice when his father forcefully slipped the ring onto his finger.they left the restaurant, and their marriage was subsequently fixed for July 15.

On the night of the wedding, Sky managed to run away from home and fled to another city. When he arrived, he stepped off the bus and sat down on the footpath because he had absolutely nowhere to go. He spent the entire day sitting there, lost in thought about what to do next. By the time night fell, a group of boys dressed entirely in black approached and stopped right in front of him.

Kim Shin asked, "Why are you sitting here alone?"

Jeon-u suggested, "Maybe he does not have a home."

Sky snapped defensively, "Don't disturb me. Leave me alone."

Ignoring his hostility, Kim Shin offered, "We will give you a job."

Hearing this, Sky looked up at him.
