Aftermath

Soon after the battle had ended Bull returned to Hvall, he was bruised in a couple of places and had a deep cut along his arm, but he insisted on talking to the general before getting his wounds treated, so he was lead to the small map room where he found the general talking to a man donning black armour, as Bull entered the room the soldier excused himself leaving the General and Bull alone, "What happened to you? Finally found something that could match your strength?" The general asked, a tired smile on his face.

"Yes, the "King" was quite a challenge, his armour was very though that's the only reason it took me that long to deal with it" the general nodded. "So you were fighting the king. Must be why the other beasts fled" "Hasn't Shiek told you about this? That boy I swear he drives me mad!" "Shiek has been unconscious since after the battle", the general quickly interrupted Bull. "What? How? He should have been though enough to get to Hvall in one piece" "The boy cleared the southern flank of the beast with a handful of men, he dashed to get to the gate rallying the defenders and leading a charge into the group that was surrounding me, in doing so he received four slashes from the beasts, their poison is though for even shifters to deal with. And one more thing, I did not know you had taught him spirit" "What? I haven't even taught him techniques; why would I teach him spirit? Why do you even ask?" Bull said, irritation quickly growing visible on his face "When he broke through the beasts' encirclement he was using spirit, Devouring ice technique, fairly roughly, truth be told, but I am sure he was using spirit."

Bull's facial expression changed from irritation to concern "He is not ready, I never thought he'd be a natural, this puts a wrench in my plans" "Now that he awakened spirt you will need to teach him how to use it, or else Shiek is just going to become more and more dangerous" the general pointed out "I know, I know, once you awaken spirit your body automatically begins assimilating magic from your surroundings, turning it into power if one builds up too much power his body will start getting consumed by it if one gets consumed by power he turns into a beast, god damn it what am I supposed to do about this! His body is not ready to start circulating power!" Bull slammed his fist on the wall making the whole room shake "Bull, calm your nerves and go to the infirmary. Your wound is poisoned it will not heal quickly"  Bull grunted he could feel the poison coursed through his veins, "I will go to see Shiek."

So Bull headed to his house where the Shiek was held for now, he entered through the large door and followed the light to Shiek's room upstairs, in the room he found Oki and Hena sitting near an unconscious and bandaged up Shiek, "How is he?" "Well enough, the poison should have been nullified by the antidote, but he is still unconscious for some reason" Hena said holding Shiek's hand. "Probably because of him awakening spirit" "He awakened spirit!" the old woman shouted leaving Shiek's hand and looking at Bull "Yes, I believe Oki saw it first hand, I plan on teaching him control when he wakes up" "You mustn't !" Hena shouted again "Why?" Bull replied.

Shiek looked around himself, he was in a dark place, nothing was there, only darkness, until there was someone in front of him. It was a man taller than Shiek with his same white hair and hazel eyes, but his face was different, older with a sly smile. Shiek recognized the man, he was familiar. Still, he could not remember his name, the man in front of him was smiling and he leaned in whispering into Shiek's ear "Remember me".

Shiek was now awake, he could see a roof atop his head and hear muffled voices to his side, he tried to turn his head but found out that he couldn't, he could feel his eyelids heavy atop his eyes as he fell back into slumber.

In The following week, Shiek made a full recovery, Oki had visited him often she had explained many things to him, she told him that the men wearing black armour were reinforcements sent by the nearby lord to protect Hvall and that a fair deal of them expressed their gratitude to Shiek for either saving their or a comrade's life, this gratitude had meant an influx of new soldiers for the general along with came their families, this had increased Hvall's population significantly and it's reputation as well.

Bull had also come by. He explained what happened with the king. He had also told him some news, "You awakened spirit in the battle, because of that when you can walk I'm going to explain what spirit is and also train you in its use".
