It feels like we have been in this hospital for days. It is 7am already and Ezra's parents have been talking with the doctors for a while now. Chelsea and I are sitting with Ezra, saying our last goodbyes before he is taken away. I just can't stop myself from crying, this is too painful. It's my fault that Ezra is dead and I don't know how I am going to live with myself. A gentle knock sounds at the door and I know it is time for us to leave. I lean over and kiss Ezra's forehead, my tears falling onto his hair. "Goodbye my friend. I love you and I will make sure Damon pays for this." I whisper in his ear. I watch as Chelsea says her goodbyes, my own heart restricting in my chest from such a loss. After losing my parents, I never wanted to feel such grief again, not this soon anyway. Ez
