Chapter 10

1040 Words
Sahil, Abdullah, and Rahul jiju walk in laughing. Well, Abdullah and Sahil are pushing each other and laughing, while Rahul jiju just shakes his head at the two.    "Asalam Alaykum," me, Zara bhabhi, Aisha, mama, and baba greet them.    "Walaykum salaam," they reply.    Rahul jiju and Zara bhabhi start talking as they walk to their room with Yusuf and Ismaeel behind them.    I look at Abdullah, who doesn't say anything. Then, I look at Daneen, who's staring at Rahul jiju confusedly.    I hold her tightly, making her look at me. She clears her throat and stands up. "Sahil," she calls.    He looks at her and raises an eyebrow.    "I just wanted to apologize. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have talked to you like that, please forgive me," she whispers while fiddling with her fingers.    Sahil's eyes widen in shock. "Uh yeah, sure, I'm sorry too," he says.    She looks up at him and they both just stare at each other, then a smile appears on both of their faces.    "I'll get ready, then we can head out," he says.    "Okay." She nods.    I smile when her face brightens up as Sahil jogs up to their room. "See that worked." I grin.    "Thanks, sis." She hugs me. I smile and nod. She walks up to their room and I sigh.    Abdullah walks out of the bathroom with his hair wet and a towel around his neck. "Abdullah, are you angry with me?" I stand up and walk over to him.    "I'm not angry." He sighs, then rubs his face.    "That's great! So, I was thinking--"    "I'm sleepy, can you shut the light?" he cuts me off, throwing his towel on the chair then gets in bed and faces the right.    I thought he wasn't angry... then? With a sigh I get in bed with him, then switch off the light.    I look at him, but he has his eyes closed. I hold his hand and smile. His hand is massive compared to mine which is really tiny. I feel like a baby beside him.    I smile at the thought. Baby. I wonder if he wants kids. Even one? My maximum wish was five, now I can even settle with one. But I still want five. Before I know it, sleep is taking over me.   ***   "Asalam Alaykum," I greet everyone as I serve them breakfast.    "Walaykum Salam," they reply.    "So, how was yesterday?" mama asks Daneen and Sahil.    I look at them, only to find Daneen's face going a bit red. Abdullah and Aisha whistle while wiggling their eyebrows at an embarrassed Sahil.    "Oh, shoo! Leave me alone." Sahil groans. We just laugh at the two.    During breakfast, he and Daneen were just whispering to each other while sharing silent laughter. I smile looking at Daneen. Just two days ago her marriage was broken and she looks really happy now. Alhamdulilah.    Daneen   "You know you are so annoying." I groan as Sahil tickles my stomach.    "Mm, I know but you still love me." He smiles then he places kisses all over my cheeks. My face heats up and I bite my lip.    "Do you?" I ask.    "It's happening," we both whisper while staring into each others eyes.    We sealed our marriage last night after coming back from our little outing. It was really amazing. We had gone to a restaurant to eat, then to ice skating, bowling, and then we went to get some pizza.    When we got back, things got a little heated. I'm happy he agreed to marry me, not just because my future would be destroyed but because I'm starting to love this man and it's the same for him.    ***   "Daneen," a voice whispers into my ear. My eyes flutter open almost instantly. Sahil stands beside our bed and smiles.    "Morning." I smile, then rub my eyes. I look down and realize I'm still undressed. "If I'm not able to walk today, I'm not talking to you for a whole year," I tell him as I sit up with a very sore back.    He just laughs, then pulls me up into his chest. "But, baby you can't get stay that long away from me," he whispers and pecks my lips a few times.    I just roll my eyes, knowing that he's right. "Where do you want to go for our honeymoon?" he asks as he wraps his arms around my waist.    "Mm... I really want to go to Kuwait." I smile.    "Really?"   "Yeah."    He picks up his laptop and we start searching for tickets. He buys tickets for two days, then reserves a house for us because apparently my husband doesn't like living in hotels.   ***   "Wait, so are you studying engineering?" I ask Aisha, who nods. "I will finish this year, I'm so excited." She smiles.    We've been chatting about her life. She and Sahil then tell me about the whole family, their likes and dislikes.    "Are you going to complete your studies, Daneen?" mama asks.    "I want to because it's my last year and Sahil says I can if I want to." I smile with a nod.    "Sahil, I have your house ready," baba says.    "Really? That was fast, jazakallah khair, baba," he says.    "Daneen, you gotta start packing," Zara bhabhi says.    "I still have time tomorrow to pack," I tell her.    "But still, you have to have everything ready, oh this is exciting." She squeals. We all just laugh at her.    "Bhabhi, you are acting as if you are the one going." Sahil chuckles.    "Still, it's fun." She nods.    The door opens and sis Aminat walks in with a frown on her face. It looks as if she had been crying.    "Sis, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I stand up instantly.    "Aminat, what happened?" mama asks with concern filling her face.    Sis Aminat doesn't say anything. She just walks past me and up to her room. She closes the door and locks it.    I furrow my eyebrows, then run up the stairs, and start banging on the door.    "Sis, what's wrong? Did Abdullah jiju do something?"   "Sis, come on, please open the door, please," I say after another minute has passed.    After a while, I just stand there quietly with my forehead against the door.
