I knocked on Dave's door, even though I had a key it'll be rude for me to just walk in when we weren't talking. He shortly opened it shirtless with his eyes low and red. "Didn't I tell you not to come back here"

"So you can pop up on me but I can't pop up on you?"

He scoffed. "Yeah" I shook my head and tried to walk in and he stopped me, "The f**k is you doing Morgan?"

"Nigga get out my way!" I pushed, "I got kicked out because of you I have nowhere else to go!"

"Because of me? I ain't do s**t to you!" He let me in and closed the door.

"These marks on my neck my parents found out!" I told him, "They said they were gonna have you put in jail."

He scoffed again. "Please I'll smoke yo parents." I stayed quiet and he kept looking at me, "Why you ain't go to Panama boy house?"

"He don't even live here." I said rolling my eyes. "If you don't like him so much why you keep bringing him up."

"Ay watch yo f*****g mouth." He said, "And since you gone be staying here for a min cook me dinner I'm starving."

I scrunched my eyebrow, "I'm tired. I'm about to shower and-"

"And you gone do that after you cook me dinner." He said in a serious tone, "Now go."

A few days had passed and I wasn't talking to anyone or going to school, its just a lot going on and I didn't want to be around anybody. I've been cooking and cleaning and I'm tired of it, Dave barely talks to me it's like I'm just his maid or something. I wiped off the kitchen counter then threw the paper towel in the trash before getting a phone call from a unsaved number.

Morgan? What's up it's Lance.

Oh uh, hey. What's going on?

I was just checking up on you. You haven't been to school all week this isn't like you.

Yeah I'm okay. I've just been busy.

To busy for school? Listen you don't have to tell me your personal business but just make sense when you lie.

Are you coming to school tomorrow? We have a huge test in Mr. Randy's class and you can't miss it.

I hung up and sat my phone down, Dave came into the house with Kairi in his arms and his friends behind him. "Hell yeah lemme just lay Kai down." He said before going into his bedroom.

I followed him, "Hey. Where you been?"

"Wit my daughter." He said tucking her in the bed. "Why"

"I was just asking. We haven't really been spending time together. I can't even remember the last time we went out."

He looked at me, "And?"

"And, I wanna go out." I said folding my arms. "It's depressing being in your house 24/7"

"Morgan you ain't even been here a week." He laughed. "Chill out. I'll take you out tho, this weekend." He walked back towards the door, "We about to chill & watch the game make us some snacks then get yo ass in the bed. Cause you taking yo' fast ass to school tomorrow."

I walked into class late, and everyone was shocked to see me. Staring until I sat down, I rolled my eyes and took my sunglasses off and took out my pen and pad.

"Miss. Hill, you've been missing all week." Ms. Wilcox said staring at me.

I nodded, "Yeah I know. But I'm here now, so continue to teach and I'll be listening."

She started back teaching, and Asia looked at me. She grabbed her things and sat in the desk next to me and sighed. "Where have you been?"

"Where do you think?"

"Morgan you don't have to be there." She said with a sadden tone, "Just go back home."

"My parents hate me." I said copying what Wilcox was writing on the board.

"No they don't they love you Morgan. They only wants what's best for you."

I scoffed, "I'm so tired of hearing that same old s**t. Let me guess, Alexis only wants what's best for me to that's why she told my parents about Dave?"

She nodded. "Sounds shitty but it's true." I stayed silent and she spoke again, "Are you okay? How is it? And why have you been missing school?"

"I just needed to clear my thoughts." I replied quickly. "I would've missed today too but Dave made me come."

"Are you okay?" She asked again. "He hasn't been hurting you has he?"

I shook my head no. "He's barely there."

"Can I come over today? I wanna see how you living, and how the vibe is there."

I looked at her. "Or do you wanna just be nosey?"

"Maybe that to, but come on. Let's hang out, over there."

"Asia you and Dave don't even like eachother." I reminded, "He'll flip if he sees you in his house."

"I don't have a problem making up with Dave." She said, "Especially when I know my best friend is living with him, I'll get on his good side."

"Okay. You can come over." I smiled, "Just you! Not Natalie nor Alexis, just you Asia."

"I got you babe." She smiled back, she gave me a hug. "I'll follow you over there after school."

After school Asia and I went to Dave's condo. He wasn't there, we decided to get comfortable and sit on the couch and watch Netflix.

"It's cozy here." She said.

I nodded, "Yeah. I like is condo, feels so homey."

She looked around. "He has a nice eye for design."

"He has a nice eye for everything." I laughed. Before she could respond the door unlocked and Dave walked in.

He looked at her, then back at me. "The f**k is she doin' here?"

"Well hello to you to Dave." She said forcing a smile.

"Morgan yo why she on my couch."

"She wanted to hang out with me." I explained.

"Ok y'all couldn't do that s**t at her crib? Or the mall or some s**t?"

"What's the problem with her being here? You had company last night."

"This my shit." He growled. "I pay the bills I can have whoever the f**k I want in here."

"Dave you don't have to talk to her like that, I asked can I come over." Asia said backing me up, "And I actually want to apologize to you and start over. My best friend is in love with you and is living with you so we need to atleast stand to be in the same room with eachother."

He walked into his bedroom, "Come here Morgan."

"David I have company can't this wait?" I asked in a frustrated tone.

He looked at Asia, "Leave." He then looked back at me, "Now Come here."

Asia stood up. "I'll respect your wishes in your house." She said putting on her shoes. "But if Morgan comes to school with more bruises on her body I swear to god I'll-"

"b***h shut the f**k up and get out my house before I drag yo ass out." He looked back at me, "Now come here."

"Dave don't put your f*****g hands on her!" Asia yelled. "She ain't do s**t!"

"Asia just go." I told her, "I'll see you at school tomorrow." I stood up and walked towards the door.

"Morgan this nigga don't own you!" She said. "You gotta stop being scared of him!"

"I'm not scared, this is his house and he wants you out." I opened the door, "I love you and I'll see you tomorrow."

She left and I closed the door back, "Don't ever bring her back in my crib what the f**k is wrong with you!"

"She just wanted to hang out Dave I told you that!" I yelled.

He pushed me forcefully into the wall. "Don't raise yo' damn voice at me." He growled. "And like I said. Don't bring her back in my crib, you understand?"

I nodded. "Yeah." I whispered.

"Now bring yo ass in this room and make me some bath water." He demanded. "And after you run that s**t, strip and get in. I'll be right behind you."
