What's Happening

"Morgan sweetie, are you okay?" I could hear my moms voice but I just couldn't open my mouth. "Morgan say something, are you okay?"

I lift my head up just a little and opened my eyes then quickly closed them. "My head hurts." I cried.

"Yeah Alexis told me you two got into a fight, what happened?"

"How did I get here?"

"Your boyfriend dropped you off and put you in your bed." She said. "Said that you were really tired."

"Can I get a drink of water please?" I asked.

"Derrick get Morgan some water!" She called out.

My dad came into the room shortly after and handed me a cup of water. I sat up and drank slowly out the straw. "Where's Alexis?" I asked.

"She went with her boyfriend not too long ago." My mom answered. "Now what happened."

"It was stupid, can you two give me some space?"

"You know you're grounded right?" My dad said. "I'm taking your keys."

"They're on the desk." I said laying back on my pillow. "Please get out."

They left and closed the door, I felt my head and felt that I had a lump, I'm so done with Dave. This was his second time putting his hands on me, he's a lunatic! I grabbed my phone out my purse and checked my notifications, I had tons of missed calls and messages from Asia. I texted her and told her to come over. I don't want to tell anyone about Dave putting his hands on me but this was just scaring me. An hour later Asia came walking into my room. "Thanks for leaving us." She started.

"I'm sorry." I groaned. "I tried to go back for you I really did, Dave snatched me out of there."

"Damn why you in the bed like that? We beat they ass you looking like you got beat up." She joked. I didn't say anything, she sat on the edge of the bed and pulled out her phone. "She deleted the picture." She said going on Nikki's i********:, "and she blocked Alexis." She laughed. "We must've really told that hoe."

I tried to laugh but my head just wouldn't let me, it started to hurt again and I held it and winced in pain.

"Yo what's the matter?" She asked. "One of them bitches cracked your skull open?"

"Hell no I got right with them hoes." I scoffed.

"Then why ya head hurting? Need some Tylenol?" She asked.

I shook my head yes and she gave me a pill, I took it and sipped my water before sitting it back on my tv stand. "If I tell you something, I don't want you to tell anyone Asia."

"I won't I promise what is it?"

I looked at her, "Dave puts his hands on me." I whispered.

She had a shocked and angry look on her face, she stood up. "Puts his hands on you as in this happened more than once?! Morgan what the f**k! How many times?!"

"This is only the second time and please don't yell, you're only making it worse." I frowned.

She came closer to me. "Why didn't you say anything the first time Morgan?"

"I don't know I was scared!" I admitted, "And then he apologized, we had a great dinner and great s*x afterwards we woke up in a great mood and it happened again after the fight. He was so mad." I explained. "He was calling me out my name, I'd never seen him so angry." I sighed. "And he pushed my head against the window and I blacked out, woke up in my bed with my parents hovering over me."

"You're not seeing him again." She demanded. "And were calling the police."

"Asia no!" I said quickly. "You promised that you won't tell anyone. It won't happen again Age I'm done with him."

"This is serious Morgan you can't keep this a secret! What the f**k is wrong with him, yo I'm tight right now. Are you crazy? Continuing to f**k with this man."

"I said I'm done Asia." I said once more. "I'm not seeing him again."

"We gotta tell Alexis."

"What part of don't tell anyone don't you understand! You're my bestfriend Alexis is going to go crazy. Just please leave it alone."

"I don't think you know how serious this is."

"I know." I said looking at her. "That's why I'm done with him. Please, just don't bring it up anymore. Only reason I told you was because I had to get it off my chest. Now can we watch a movie or something?"

School was the next day, I really wasn't in the mood to see Nikki or to even go in the first place because I've been crying all night about Dave. I got out of bed slowly and ran the shower, and sat inside. Letting the hot water run all over my body and hair. After about twenty minutes I got out of the shower and picked out a very simple outfit. Usually I go all out, but today I just wasn't feeling it. I put on some jeans, a pair of my gray Balenciaga runners, and my gray off the shoulder sweater. I put my hair in a bun and did my makeup.

I went downstairs and put some coffee in my to-go cup and knocked on Alexis' door. "Can you take me to school please? My parents took my car keys."

"Give me five minutes." She groaned.

I walked back downstairs and sat on the couch, I drank my coffee and scrolled down my Twitter until I heard a horn honk outside. I looked up and seen Dave's white truck, my heart immediately dropped down to my stomach. I don't even want to see him, he kept beeping the horn and all I did was stare. Moments later he called, I hesitated but answered.

I see you staring at me. Why you not coming outside mamí?

Why are you here.

Stop acting like I don't take you to school sometimes. Come on you gone be late.

Alexis is taking me to school, and I don't want to see you

I hung up and he called me back. I declined his call and walked back upstairs and decided to wait for Alexis in my room where Dave couldn't see me, two minutes later he finally left and Alexis told me to come on.

School was just a normal day until lunch rolled around. I sat at my usual table with Asia and a couple of other people.

"How does your head feel?" She asked.

"A little better." I said. "Just trying not to think about it."

She sipped her water and looked above me. "Here comes trouble, but don't worry. I got it."

Before I could turn around I heard Nolen's voice. "Yerrrr what's this I'm hearing about y'all fighting Nikki?"

"How you hear that?" Asia asked.

"A few people talking about it." He sat next to me. "You good Morgs?"

"Yeah I'm good. Go away though, you know I don't f**k with you."

"Damn you don't gotta cold shoulder me because Nikki beat yo ass."

I looked at him. "Nolen please Nikki ain't beat s**t at all. Me and my bitches good."

"Why you holding your head then?" He laughed.

"I had an accident." I grinned through my teeth. "On my way home. Now get the f**k away from me Nolen. Like I said Nikki ain't beat s**t and if my head wasn't banging right now I would go for a round 2 just to show that b***h that I ain't the one to play with."

"Yeah whatever." He stood up. "Aye what y'all fight over anyway?"

"Just go away Nolen."

I shook my head and stood up. "I gotta go Age, I'm not in the mood today. I'm gonna call an Uber and go home."

"Come on Morg we only have two more classes to go."

"And I can't do it, call me later."
