CHAPTER 7

After Yuna and I parted our way, I spent my night with Zy's place until ten in the evening. I told her everything that Yuna and I talks about. I also mentioned what she said about Zy coming along with us. I am really very happy that we meet... because of her, I have two friends from now on!

My best friend and I spend our night for doing our homework s***h research paper. We need to submit it next week, and I actually don't want to start doing it early because our prof only give it this day. But since my partner is a daughter of a genius, she want to give all her time in studying and I can't do anything about it... she may kill me if I didn't obey her.

When I go home, I don't have the opportunity to play because Mom warned me that if I spend my time this night in playing than sleeping, she will change my deskstop's password and won't turn it back to the old one for two weeks as punishment. So if don't obey her too, my life will end here. This is really the reason why I hate weekdays!

The next day, Wednesday... the club activity day came. On our University, we have a rule that this day is for club activity only. No class, no other stuffs. We can also wear non-uniform cloths depends on our club requirement.

As far as I can remember, we have many clubs here. They recruit members every first month of semester since every student can change their clubs after semester ends. But in my case, I never change my club. Zy and I are both happy in Photography Club.

Zyrell is the one who chooses this club because the club room is near at the library. Actually, if she have the opportunity to be a Librarian, she will surely grab it. But unfortunately, she can't because only fourth year students can be a librarian here and the Student Assistant as well. I suggest to her that she could try to be S.A. since Dean's Lister is the priority applicants for that position and she is three time holder of that title, but Zy is too afraid to get that opportunity since she doesn't want to tag along with other people.

It's a good thing that she never force me to apply for that position even I am a Dean's Lister too, because of the thought that if I agree to support her... she can't have the peaceful life she want to read all day there because she knew that there would be a possibility that gentlemen bystand inside the Library and she needs to keep her eye for them to keep quiet.

For me, any clubs are good. I am not bad in any activity after all. The reason is, I try to play some sports or music instrument in online games and also try to do it in the real life as well to see what is the difference between the two. Besides, I don't want to disappoint my parents so I try my best to learn everything I can. Also, to protect my gaming PC.

Another good thing that I join this is club is that this is new than usual, I don't think there is a game that will let you take pictures... or maybe I am not just aware? I don't know. And my most favorite part of being a member of this club, no boys follows me to join! I am very lucky that they are not interested to be a photographer, they all interested in sports or being a varsity of the university since you can also became a scholar by that except for having a good grade.

Zyrell and I always come to our club room together since we can come here anytime we want. Our club president is not a strict man and just always want us to enjoy this day so we can contribute good photos. According to him, photography is also a creation. You can't have a good one if you didn't pour your all love for what you are doing, so I always keep that lesson in my heart as a remembrance from this club.

"Good morning, everyone!" Ace-senpai greeted all of us.

We are about to start our meeting for today's agenda. This might be a kind of ritual every morning before we start as club members, so we can be orient for what should we do for today. We are now sitting on our meeting table except for Ace who is working for some papers, maybe that will be our agenda for today.

Ace is already a fourth year college and soon to graduate. We used to call him 'senpai'— a japanese word means 'senior'— and it really suits him since he always guides us. I actually don't want him to left us soon because he is a good leader, but we can't do anything about it.

Photography Club only have four members since the other five members already graduated this year. So before they left, they reminded us that we should prioritize recruiting members before Ace-senpai left too because if we didn't, this club will be dissolve for not having the minimum required members which is five students. Therefore, we still need one member to prevent that to happen.

"Hey, Ace. Do you received any updates about our request renovating our club room? Its been a week since you passed the request, right?" Lucas asked.

Lucas is a third year college now, unlike Ace-senpai, he is calm and more serious in photography than our president. He used to tell us that he dreams to be a professional photographer someday but his parents wants him to take Architecture, so being a member of this club may at least feel him that he can be one.

I am blessed that they are both responsible member. They do anything for the club so it won't be dissolve though they both confess their feelings to me. But of course, Zy saves me as she advice me to tell them about the club's sake that we should work professional here and avoiding that kind of stuff.

"I already sent an email to Mrs. Pascual yesterday, we can at least wait for her reply," Ace answered him as he takes his sit beside Lucas.

"Do we have anything to do except from recruiting?" Zyrell ask.

I sit beside her and we face the two boys. Our table is a bit long that can occupy at least ten members. We didn't request for changing it into small one because we actually hoping that this sem, we can recruit more members to fill the blank sits here.

Ace-senpai looked at the papers he holding. "Of course, we do. But we need to prioritize recruiting for this day. I am very worried that if we will missed to recuit today, we can't get enough members because other clubs are all active as well," he explains.

Except from me and her family, Ace and Lucas are the only two person that Zyrell can talks normal. I don't know what's with them but I am happy that she's not afraid to start a conversation here. I hope she can talk with Yuna too.

"Do you have any target student? We can at least talks to them to persuade them to join," Zyrell answered.

I can't help myself but to smile as she fight for our club's sake too. The reason is, she knew that if this club been dissolve, she can't bystand to the library as well. So she's doing everything to help the club to remain to run.

"I have!" I even raised my right hand a little bit so they can turn their attention towards me.

Ace's eybrows met as he as asked me, "Then, who?"

I smiled at him. "An acquaintance of mine, she is a first year student." I am talking about Yuna, I am not sure if she already have a club or like us that didn't want to transfer, but it is not bad to at least try to approach her.

I just think that this will be a perfect idea, if we can recruit her to join our club, we can be more attached and as time goes by... I can admit to her that I have crush on Gai and ask her help to be with him. Then her membership will prevent the dissolving of Photography Club. It is like two birds in one stone!

The three of them smiled at me. Then Ace-senpai said, "That's a perfect idea! Our club is really lucky to have you here, Aphy. You're a big asset to us!"

I smiled at them too. "Thanks!" I said.

Since no one except from me suggest any students to recuit, we proceed to the next agenda: renovating our club room. Well, our sorroundings are not bad but we envy other clubs who have much better rooms and they even have an aircondition there provided by the university. We all know that our club is the least when it comes to popularity, but still, we are a club and students for this university as well so we are seeking for a good vicinity too.

We talks about what we can contribute for our better room while waiting to the letter of approval for renovating. Then after that topic, lunch breaks came... this is the time that we can look for Yuna and asked her to join our club.

Ace-senpai and Lucas stays at the club room since they bring their own food, so the task of looking for Yuna leaves to the two of us who knows her and going to eat at the canteen.

"Are you sure she can be our new member?" Zy asked while we were eating.

"Not sure, but I will come to think of an idea to have her—"

"To use her to get Gai's attention?" Zy cut me off. She sounds irritated and I assume that she just want to tease me.

I rolled my eyes and eat again. It is nonsense if I will explain because she got me already. And obviously, even we don't have any in common interest or we are not close, I will still do anything to get Gai's attention.

"Just make sure you would not be in trouble, Aphy," she added.

I looked at her out of curious. "What do you mean by trouble?"

"Aphy he is—"

"He became problem child because of what you guys think. Could you stop judging him? You don't know him well, Zy. "

She glared at me. "You either."

I glared at her too. "That's why I'm going to befriend Yuna to know him, isn't?"

"Whatever."

I looked at her with worried face. "Come on, Zy. Support me like you always did. Hey—"

"Aphy, it is not that I can't support you. I'm just worried that if you continue pursuing him, you might... you might be in trouble."

My eyebrows met. I don't know why Zy keep on saying that I'd be in trouble. When one of our classmates try to take me, he protect me. He can fight more than one opponent in an instant. She shouldn't worry.

I let Zy to wait for me in the Club Room. I decided that I should look for Yuna by myself. I am just uncomfortable to be with her after what I heard. It making me sad to think that my own best friend didn't support me for my crush. I don't even understand her why she keep on saying that Gai will just gave me a trouble. I do believe that he is not that dangerous, I am sure he won't hurt me without valid reason. I believe on Yuna's word that he is a nice guy that will lend his hand to you anytime you need it without asking for reward. He might be rude but he is kind inside.

After the conversation I had with Zy, I can't focus on our club activity anymore... I don't see Yuna inside sa school either. I go home early than my club mates, while thinking of a way how will my best friend approve my feelings for Gai.
