“What are you doing here.”
The words barely left me before I realized who I was speaking to. Or rather, who I was accusing. The strong hands that had caught me only seconds earlier released me gently, but the presence remained. Solid. Unavoidable.

Standing in the middle of a club filled with chaos and bodies and music that sounded like my headache had a soundtrack.
He did not answer me.
Not even a glance in my direction.
Instead, he walked past me like I was air and went straight to Yssa.
That alone told me everything.
“Time to head home, princess,” he said calmly, his voice somehow cutting through the noise without effort.
Yssa blinked up at him slowly, her eyes glassy, her balance questionable, her smile lazy in a way I had never seen before.
