"Where is this?" Ruby couldn’t identify her surroundings the moment her eyes snapped open.
"Calm down, Ruby. Take a deep breath. I promise you’re fine," Tyrus said, still standing in front of her, slightly shocked that her eyes had opened when he least expected it.
Ruby glanced around and noticed they were in the outer fields. Then the memories came rushing back. For a brief moment, she wished it was all just a dream...that Carrick had never dumped her.
